As tourists, we ate twice in two consecutive days, and the second time we came back and thought it was really good.I went to Nanaimo during the holidays and came across this Chinese restaurant. Unexpectedly, it surpassed all Victoria Chinese restaurants in my heart.We ate Guobao Pork, Boiled Fish, Couple's Lung Slices, Fish-flavored Shredded Pork, Maoxuewang, Salt and Pepper Squid, and Yangzhou Fried Rice.Overall, it’s delicious and great for replenishing energy during the trip! It's spicy but not irritating, and it's also very fragrant. After eating, your body feels warm. Although the restaurant serves a full range of cuisine, it is by no means an ordinary local old Cantonese recipe. Living here for more than ten years, I have really had enough of the daily stir-fry dishes made in Guangdong and Hong Kong.Talking about these dishes individually, let’s talk about the shortcomings first: Husband and wife’s beef slices are a bit ordinary. We also make them at home. They are delicious, but not as eye-catching as others. The ingredients for Maoxuewang are the same as boiled fish, not much distinctive.In terms of advantages: The pot-baked pork is perfect, surpassing VIC and the four van restaurants we have eaten at so far. Salt and pepper squid, very fresh, not too salty, delicious! The shredded pork with green pepper doesn't have a particularly strong bean paste flavor, so it's delicious. Yangzhou fried rice, the portion is generous, the dishes are well-balanced and delicious!

I've tried them all in Nanaimo! Rhythm with MR.Han the owner/chef deserves a 6 ! Also Da Tang is on the same level if the owner Mr Leon is cooking if not him you never know what your gonna get ! Last time must have been a bad experience with skip the dishes.Our go to again.

We ordered over 180 dollars worth of food tonight. It ended up being 3 bags of food. My wife went in to pick it up at our estimated pick up time of 545. She was promptly handed 1 bag and the other 2 came over a 20 minute time span. Instead of preparing orders as they came in, they prepared popular dishes and filled each dish for multiple orders. 1/3 of our order was stone cold by the time she got it all and came home. This was a complete waste of money. But they gave a free 2l of pop. Completely unprofessional.
