Beautiful location. Lots of light and spacious, and you get view of the marina. Price is pretty decent too considering the location! My Pho Dac Biet was loaded with meat ?.

Absolutely premium North Vietnamese cooking, probably the best I've ever had, even having lived and eaten in large cities with thriving Asian food communities. In addition to my standout pho I tried the salted coffee, which I've never seen anywhere else, and it was delicious. Very warm and friendly service as well. A great restaurant in a great food town

This is a wonderful find. The service is very friendly, very nice decor with a view over the marina to Newcastle Is, and the food is amazingly fresh. The menu is much more than Pho. We have only been in the winter, but are looking forward to the rooftop dining in summer. Parking is available in several stalls in the lot, and is free on the main road. A bit too much plastic if you order take out, but it is fantastically organized and always warm. Excellent meat and vegetarian options. It is hard to describe how subtle and fresh the flavours are - definitely worth a visit.

Nice atmosphere, amazing food and the best coffee I’ve ever had in
Came across this place a year ago by accident and fell in love with the food. Not in love anymore. The portions are getting smaller and smaller. Usually order a medium size (which is more like a small to begin with) medium heat, grilled chicken pho, which always comes with Basil and sprouts through DD.Tonight I ordered an Xtra Large, spicy pho for an additional $2.70. Received slightly more broth than the medium, (compared liquid amount between the last bowl I ordered and this one) noodle and chicken is the SAME portion as the medium and there was no sprouts or basil. Wasn't even an option to add sprouts or basil to order. Almost $3 more and I ended up with less than normal. The broth had zero spice and the noodles were way over cooked.I get that prices are high but charging almost $3 more for the same amount is criminal!!This will be my last order.

Stopped at this restaurant because the sign by the road said it was voted best Pho in Nanaimo or something similar. As a visitor to the city, I clearly jumped at the chance to test this unannotated claim out! You need to follow a small road down into a parking area, as you cannot see the establishment from the road. The parking lot is a smidge confusing; park in the green line marked spaces! Once you enter, you immediately notice the wall of windows facing the marina, it was beautifully bright on the afternoon we dined here. Bathroom was clean, staff were polite and food service was quick enough with the food served hot. Ordered the vegetarian Pho for myself and I was not disappointed at all. Lots of tofu, full of veggies and the broth was nicely spiced; felt like some care was put into it, not just an afterthought for the non meat crowd. My partner ordered the Rare Beef and enjoyed the heck out of the bowl. Sealand lets you select the size of your portion, three to choose from, but doesn't really tell you what each size change constitutes. Here is a common complaint from me; if you do this on your menu, be specific - like is it more protein or just extra broth and noodles or both? Overall, I was impressed and thankful to have noticed the sign on the road! Would 100% eat here again.
