We always go to the Southgate location here in Nanaimo. We go here for family breakfasts consisting of 8-12 people normally. We never have a problem with seating and service has always been fairly quick considering the effort it takes to coordinate a large number of meals to come out at the same time.
Great little bar for Cinnabar Valley. Chicken wings and a drink Friday and Saturday. Great server, great food, great deal.

It’s Smittys. So you know what you will be offered food wise. Having said that there are greater and lesser Smittys. This is one of the good ones. Delicious food, clean restaurant (and restrooms - always a telling sign), efficient, friendly service. We have made it one of our ‘must stops’ for breakfast when heading back home from Victoria.

Only Smitty's that would just sell us coffee, since we live five hours away and we don't come out this way often. Most reliable Smitty's on the island. (And for our server: I passed my test!)

Good food, was sat promptly, service wasn't as responsive as needed and server placed hut sauce cup right in front of my 14 month old who swiped it right away and had hot sauce all over her hand and in her fingernails. Not a smart move.

We came here with three families and had a wonderful time. The food was absolutely delicious with generous portions, and we all loved the welcoming atmosphere and excellent service. Highly recommended!
