Was there to pick up my order. Waited there for more than 20 minutes. I didn't get greeted and I was ignored the whole time. There were 3 people after me got seated. I walked away without my order.

service was soo nice. immediately got seated at a table, coffee came within mere moments. refills were offered throughout our time there. food was super quick as well, and SO delicious. the waffles were sooo fluffy.
the atmosphere was homey, cozy, and busy but not too loud. we went around 10:30-11 AM for time reference. very nice lounge area, good place to catch up with people.

Smitty's has been a family favourite for comfort food and good prices for 50 years and Nanaimo's Rock City location doesn't disappoint. I've never had a bad meal, the atmosphere is quiet, and the service is fantastic (especially excellent in Rachel's section). We'll always return.

We came in and were seated right away, but then sat there for 10 minutes without any acknowledgement from the servers. Two servers passed by us three times, and no acknowledgement. Three other tables were sat, drinks brought, and food orders taken. We left, and only then were acknowledged. We won't be back again. Try Tania's instead! Good food, better prices, great service. This Smitties sucks.

Ordered 2 omelets they forgot to put cheese in them waitress finally came.by said oh no and brought us mini donuts for the mistake that we're old and reheated up not a good experience

Today I had the best experience at Smitty’s in Nanaimo! We were quickly greeted and seated by a very sweet hostess An, she brought us waters and made sure to let our server know we were seated. Aurora quickly came to greet us with a smile after she had ran her food and got extra napkins for her first table. She was super funny and understanding about how many things we wanted to order. Our food was hot and so damn delicious!!!! I really loved getting to meet Aurora, she is seriously an amazing server(you guys are in good hands for the summer), I watched her take care of every single one of her tables with the same energy and attention to detail. Genuinely, one of the best dining experiences at a restaurant. Thank you Aurora 🫶
