Starbucks

Went there to get my birthday drink, my app wasn’t working and they refused to serve me the drink for free and charged me 14.99 for my food including the drink. They wouldn’t take a look at my ID to prove that it’s my birthday and made a fuss about when I asked if I could change the size to smaller so it’d be cheaper for me because they “already made it” and it wasn’t my mistake that the app wasn’t working. Went to the next Starbucks app still wasn’t working but they were very kind and asked for my ID immediately and served me my free drink happily. Not going to this Starbucks again, people there don’t care about their customers.

got the strawberry açai lemonade refresher it was SO SWEET… holy glucose spike… wish the chairs were tucked in and that there was a better waiting area. service was fine & fast, just the beverage was disappointing

Sorry I can't stand this place, I don't find it necessary to spend $10 for a damn coffee outrageous pricing on all items. Just a waste of money to me.

Anna was extremely rude and unprofessional ! Worst service ever. Removing Starbucks of my list forever. You'd at least expect a good level of customer service, this store sucks!!!!

Waited 20 minutes for a latte. The disappointing part though, is that the barista in training was left to drown in the weeds when they didn’t understand the trainer. Do better guys.

On Sunday, September 7, 2025, I visited the Starbucks in Nanaimo and simply asked to use the washroom. A staff member named Mara told me that I could not use it unless I made a purchase. I found this extremely rude and unprofessional.

In Canada, courtesy and respect are highly valued, and this kind of behavior is very disappointing. Starbucks should focus more on hospitality and customer care rather than restricting people in such an unfriendly way.

This is my favourite location in town everyone is always so sweet even if it’s too early for me to be able to give the same energy back. It was so busy today, they were down 2 people and my coffee is still fire as always <3
