I was a customer on Saturday Oct 4th 2026. There was a young man working who was wearing a hat, glasses and had nailpolish. I was SO incredibly impressed with the pride he had in his work. He was polite, caring and took extra care to make sure there was no wilted lettuce or dried sections of any of the toppings he put on our sandwiches. If I owned a business I would want this guy on my team. If I lived in Nanaimo I would frequent this shop jus to have him make my sandwich. I'm actually going back to Nanaimo this weekend and I will make an effort to return to this subway shop.

this place is known for stealing from their customers, order a sandwich, pay for said sandwich, check receipt to find they charged me for something I didn't order, since this has happened at least 5 other times over the course of 7 months (and pointing it out to them) I asked for a refund. I was told they could not issue a refund because they can only do 1 refund a month....Will NEVER go back to this unprofessional establishment.

We got to this location of subway faithfully as we know Erik does a lot of shitfts at this location I must say I have never met a more amazing employee in my life.. my son and I went there yesterday for dinner (april18th at 4:30) Erik was working and another young girl I’m sorry I forgot your name.. the customer service was amazing as usual but I’m sorry the two workers were so exhausted as they were alone and the line up was huge.. I love this store only for Erik and that young girl he was working with but I will not go back to this location unless management does something about their staff numbers per shift.. two people at this location is just ridiculous.. I want to give 20 stars to Erik and his partner they dealt with the lineup as best as they could.. management I hope you see this but you MUST have at least one or two other workers on each shift or you will lose employees and customers due to complete exhaustion of these two.. and the wait times people have to wait due to only two people working and sometimes I have been there and only one person is working and that is totally not acceptable..again to Erik and his partner on April 18 you guys did amazing thank you for being the amazing workers you two are. You both deserve raises.. and again management do better with your staffing numbers on shifts or you will be to blame for employees getting ill from working so hard they are doing their best to try and make your location the best and if it wasn’t for those two your location would be the worst.. congrats Erik you are an amazing employee that deserves the world.. if I knew your shift times I would go only when you work cause you make every customer feel special and heard and always make sure customers leave with a smile..and how you make the sandwiches is PERFECT thank you so much.. I hope management sees this and thanks you themselves for being the all stars that you and your partner are. MORE STAFF NEEDED PER SHIFT PLEASE

The rice bowl options are great for those who eat gluten-free. I tried one for the first time, and it was delicious, especially with extra sauce. Ordering online was smooth and hassle-free.
