I really enjoy the food here. I am very familiar with thai food and all the dishes i have tried here are delicious. Service was very good too in my experience. Don't miss the opportunity to try this great place!

Poor service. Staff was dismissive, disrespectful, and then aggressive when I called them out. Will not be back. There are definitely better Thai places in Nanaimo.

We like their Thai Poutine and the sticky rice with mango. Would have ordered a few more other dishes to try but the guy behind the counter doesn't seem to be happy seeing customers ?We've gone there 3x and he always seems to be in a bad mood, no smile, no greetings, no thank yous. He just looks at you like you are an inconvenience instead of a customer buying. Not a very good way to keep your customers coming.Edited to add:I hope your wife who works hard in the kitchen to keep the business going knows all about your mental issues. You are so miserable, I pity you.Owner edits his comments on here from time to time, just goes to show he needs psychiatric help.Poor guy! Praying for him ?By the way word of mouth is a powerful advertising.

The food here is decent from the lady cooking in the back but the guy at the counter is one of the most miserable human I ever met. Does it hurt to smile or be friendly to your customers? I hope this guy gets the mental health he needs.

The server behind the counter is an humorless, unrelenting troublemaker. On an order of $8.95 plus tax I asked for a glass of water. Mr. Troublemaker could have served water from behind the counter, but not Mr. Troublemaker. At first he signaled in the direction of his daughter; she was willing to serve me water. But no! Then he signals across the mall.Mr. Troublemaker is a bigot. He mumbled something about Boomers. This man has no future in Customer Service. He should quit while he is aheadThe owner response is unacceptable. Was he there? I did wear a mask. It looks like Mr. Troublemaker is a big liar and he has his boss by the small hairs. This complaint will be elevated to Better Business Bureau complaint. Maybe Thai Chili should not be in business?I have no idea if the "owner" is the owner or the Troublemaker. Now you have a Better Business Bureau complaint to worry about.I think Mr. Troublemaker thinks he's a good liar. If a BBB complaint does not educate him, the city of Nanaimo has a complaint line for errant business.

Ive had Khao Soi here a few times, and it is excellent everytime. Haven't tried anything else because the Khao Soi is do good!

It's restaurant quality Thai food at a food court. It didn't look like much passing thru the mall but due to the heat wave I spent several hours at this mall to cool down and decided to give it a try. The service could be better but food is excellent.I tried the pad Thai, drunken noodles and basil friend rice. Each comes with your choice of shrimp, chicken, pork or beef. They come in mini (see photos) $7.95 or regular $11.95 and dinner size $15.95. Adding a small pop and spring roll is a extra $1 except dinner size. The basil fried rice with chicken gotta be one of the best fried rice on the Island! Full of flavor and the basil fragrance added so much to it 5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. The drunken noodles had a hint of peanuty flavor and was saucy noodles. It was pretty good and I would try it again 4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐. The pad Thai was similar but less of a peanuty taste. Also 4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐.It's a family affair with the wife cooking and the husband at the front counter. Their daughter is sometimes with them. The husband is an introvert so don't expect friendliness. My only complaint is they completely ignore health order of wearing mandatory mask.

I absolutely love their pad thai! And the Tom yum soup is full of veggies just soooooo good! I definitely recommend ? I've had great experiences picking up from the restaurant and ordering through skip the dishes. It's my go to when getting food for my lunch break ?

Arrived 15 min before close June 1 and the staff looked at me like I was a major inconvenience. I asked if they had a menu with prices and the service worker sighed before clanging around looking for the remote, grumbling (to turn the TV menus back on, because they were already turned off), and then proceed to stare at me with a scowl on his face. Almost ordered but decided I didn't want my food tampered with, so went next door instead. If you want to close at 5:45, then set your hours to close at 5:45. Curry point, which keeps the same hours, was happy to serve me.For clarification of the response from the owner, the only two things I said were: "Do you have a menu with prices on it?" and "I think I'll just go somewhere else."Lies and threats to cover up poor service. Great business model.
I lived in Bangkok for 4 years and found Thai Chili to be very authentic! Best massaman I've had in Canada by far

Holy smokes, the food and service was amazing! Didn't take long for my food at all, and it tasted great! 10/10, would go again. A great first impression of Thai food. ???

Always consistent and best Thai food in town. Location is great for parking with a specific entrance to food court. Problem is not many people seem to know that country club actually has an interior mall. Must be a marketing fail on behalf of the mall itself. Some interesting shops inside though!
