Let me start by saying I did not try the Persian food and love Iranian run businesses coming to nanaimo...BUT... if I'm going to pay over $10 (before tip) for a 8 oz. coffee and muffin, it has to be decent. It was not. I ordered a misto and it was a burnt mess. The muffin was almost good but much too salty and poorly mixed so there were chunks of flour in the muffin. I came to the Cafe to avoid the horrendous coffee at the NIC arena and it wasn't any better. Please do a little R&D to improve these basics. I will come back in hopes you have.

Lovely ambiance. Very friendly staff and socially conscious - loved that she wore a Moosehide pin! Nice choices of food. No tax for students.
Check on parking- may not be easy on a busy time/day.

Gorgeous cafe, I got the portobello mushroom sandwich on gluten free bread, and a matcha latte and both were amazing. The flavour on mushroom was so creamy and salty and the matcha late was very smooth and just the right amount of sweet. Super reasonably priced and beautiful interior!

Dietary restrictions: I am gluten free and dairy free and you can pretty much mod everything on the menu to fit your restrictions!!

Parking: A little tight but not overly packed in there

Absolutely love this cafe! Great welcoming vibe, and THE SMELLS!!! as soon as you walk in you know you're going to eat something delicious. Love their lamb wrap; bursting with flavour! Great spot to meet someone for lunch or just a cup of coffee.

So usually love this cafe…. But I’m so put off. Somebody please tell me what is in this breakfast cookie because honestly had the texture of a chicken bone?. I don’t know if I’ll be able to eat there again after this… and it’s not a cheap place. I understand this happen but this made me sad

Terrible coffee. I was so disappointed. I asked for a remake…but both cups were very bitter. For the price, I can’t believe they do t have better espresso. Can’t say I’d ever be back or recommend the coffee.

We had a beach picnic with food from Bee's Knees Cafe. I had the eggplant and goat cheese sandwich, and it was fabulous along with the house dressing on slaw. Fantastic!!

We ordered some beautiful Buddha bowls and sandwiches for our Team Building picnic at the beach – they were so delicious. It was wonderful to swim and emerge for Shirin’s culinary delights. Our agency orders from The Bee’s Knees again and again. It’s always great. Thank you, Shirin!

Exploring all the coffee shops in the area during my visit. Coffee here was so bitter I couldn’t drink it. My friend returned hers first. Then I returned mine. We weren’t offered anything for our inconvenience and cost. We paid over $25 for two coffees and a muffin (which was great).
