Super friendly team and delicious food. Lovely presentation and care. Don’t understand any of the negative comments, and will certainly return the next time I’m in and around Nanaimo.

HORRIBLE !
Came here with my kids and it was 1.5hours wait for food. The food came and there was no cheese in the Caesar salad. What Caesar salad doesn’t come with Parmesan. The salad dressing was sour tasting and the menu said it cost $18.00 but got my bill and it was $22.00. They over charged for our food and it was meh. 1.5 hour wait for food, salad and pancakes. Terrible service terrible food. Server did not check in. Other patrons in the restaurant were complaining that other people were getting their food before him even though he was there before the customers getting their food.
Worst food experience ever ! If I could give less than 1 star I would..will never return, save yourself and don’t eat here. Might as well get fast food because you’ll be more satisfied then this food.
Photos make it looks like there is an outdoor patio so we drove 20 minutes to get here but turns out the patio is only accessible from inside so no if it summer and your on vacation with a pet you can’t bring them onto the patio like patios I’m familiar with.
What an adorable little gem! I came here soon after it opened, after my 0515 ferry docked at Duke Point Terminal. It's located inside the Quality Inn - just off to the side after you enter the inn. There's plenty of street parking at this hour. I was warmly greeted and promptly provided with coffee options and a menu. It's a small, but solid breakfast and lunch menu. It has all your staples, both sweet and savoury. I went for the classic ham eggs Benedict, poached soft and it did not disappoint! Eggs perfectly poached and hollandaise was just perfect. The interior is painted a bright yellow (to help wake you up!!) and the decorations are pictures of their previous location and beautiful paintings with plants around as well. There is also a few outdoor patio tables. I can definitely see this place getting very busy on weekends.

My husband and I had a lovely breakfast on the quiet patio surrounded by plants and shade. The history of the restaurant is so lovely to read and you really get the community vibe from the staff. Our server was friends with the owner and she said the staff are like family - and as a customer you can tell the difference. The breakfast was incredible. As a vegetarian, I loved that there was a veggie Benny option. My husband had the bacon avocado Benny and we both got the croissant upgrade (totally recommend). The hollandaise was delicious. Even the hash browns, which are usually an afterthought with a breakfast meal, were tender and well seasoned. 10 out of 10!
