Very bad service, rude bouncer, and the ambience is also terrible. Compared to any European bar it's a running joke!!

No one in the place when we got there then could NOT get a drink...they looked at me like I was an alien for trying to order a drink from the bar....there's a reason why no one is in here.....pay the cover anywhere else

I normally never make reviews. But Terminal bar has very and rude unprofessional staff. The staff make you feel very alienated and uncomfortable as if you are not welcome in their “bar” - classic wannabe cool dive bar…..would not recommend.

Stepped into The Terminal Bar after a long workday with colleagues and we were instantly taken by its wonderfully offbeat decor. This place is unapologetically a dive bar with its cash-only policy, eclectic mix of heavy metal tunes, and a new age jukebox that keeps the regulars happy. The standout decor piece was definitely the big moose adorned with women's bras – it added a quirky, fun vibe to the setting. While it may not be the cleanest spot around, it has an undeniable charm that makes you want to return. Drinks were decent, and the atmosphere was perfectly laid-back. I'd recommend it to anyone in Nanaimo looking for a dive bar experience, just make sure to bring friends who appreciate that kind of thing!

We just stopped for a couple pints because my friend made a comment about how long it'd been since the last time he had a draught beer. They had a decent shot & pint special on but sadly no Hoyne Dark Matter tap anymore :_( I know there's live music here frequently and also a couple games tables (¾ size billiards & air hockey) as well as some arcade games (including basketball I believe). A fenced patio with tables exists behind the bar with some umbrellas for rain and sun shelter. They also have a couple of cooler doors stocked with off-sales products but remember the sales for these stops @ 23:00 just like every other liquor store. Parking is non-existent, welcome to downtown Nanaimo! A first floor entrance & relatively open floor plan makes it wheelchair accessible too. This review has had a reply...Thanks for taking the time to respond. I looked for the Dark Matter tap and didn't see one. When the barkeep was asked, they confirmed there was no draught Dark Matter. It is possible the keg had just run dry and it is still usually available...this could be a likely scenario considering how delicious it is! I'm afraid I don't understand your question though because I did award a 3-star rating. A typo perhaps?

Nice bar with decent prices and nice drinks. Bartenders are really friendly and honest. Its $2 entry fee and cash only but seems worth it. Lots of room to move around and a good smoking area. Some arcade games
