Our server Catie was awesome and set the tone for a wonderful dinner experience. The food was fresh and delicious. The subtle flavor combination in the seafood flambe was world class. Congrats to the chef. Definitely the best meal of our vacation.

Wowza!!! I can’t rave about this place enough. First and foremost the Waitress was beyond amazing!! She cooked my meal table-side she deserves a RAISE. The assorted bread with honey sage butter, oil and balsamic was great!! I would highly recommend this experience. It wasn’t just a meal but a show with the table-side flambé 🔥 Drinks were delicious and reasonably priced. If you are going to Nanaimo, BC stay at Best Western Dorchester, the hotel was amazing and then you get to take a quick elevator ride to the amazing rooms

If you want to go to this place, I suggest you make a reservation for in advance. It took us three weeks to get a reservation on a Saturday night for 6:00 with six people. It is a very nice place to go the food was great the service was good. The drinks were good. Totally enjoyed it

Adam our waiter was awesome!! Very professional yet easy to talk to. Found out he's from Kenora so kinda nice as my parents were visiting from atikokan and we are all from the area. They are lucky to have him on their staff.
The food was amazing. As much as we were looking forward to a steak of some sort, the short rib meal was enough for 2 meals.
Very busy place and we were lucky to get in without a reservation.
We will be back.

went with family on Aug 8th,came at 4pm. i had the calamari and lamb sirloin also the Oscar.the lamb when cut into was red on the raw side, had one of my kids mussel which was open, but partly, feeling stomach pain @5:30 and spent the rest of my time till 6:20 on the toilet. three goes.i only had a coffee and croissant earlier. sent in an email, and Maddy said that i was sick before coming to the View. they blamed me for coming there.something in the food was off.if it dont look right dont plate it.

My family decided to visit this lovely restaurant again after an amazing first time one year ago, and we were very pleased! The stuffed chicken supreme and lamb sirloin were marvelous, and very much enjoyed. The View Signature Mac & Cheese and Linguine Caprese were both quite decent but the Mac & Cheese was definitely favored. Large portions with very fresh ingredients and the sauces creamy, and rich. The sauces might even be a bit too much. Service was top notch and Natalie was a great help!

Lets start with our server Caity. This young lady was absolutely outstanding. Engaged, funny, knowledgeable, and amazing server!! We cant say enough good things about Caity!!! You made our night memorable. The food was so good. BEST calamari I have ever had. The East meets West infusion was fantastic. The seafood linguini was also top notch. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic dinning experience. Really hope the kitchen staff enjoyed their jug of beer .... well deserved.

Just got back from my first experience here and it was all I had hoped. A terrific meal backed up with even better service. All the staff was very attentive and friendly, Adam W our server went above and beyond, recommended a terrific dish for myself and the touch of humor was appreciated. The vibe in the restaurant was terrific, and it was evident everyone else was having a great time.

I took one of my parents here for dinner to celebrate a special occasion recently. It was so good that we came back again a couple weeks later. The food was amazing, and the service was great as well. I would recommend this restaurant for fine dining in Nanaimo, at quite reasonable prices.
