VIU Students' Union Pub

This place is great! It has a fun atmosphere and there's free pool! Not a lot of options for different types of beer but what can you do, they have many options for food and from what I've ordered it's been pretty good so far. Definitely make a point of dropping by if you're a student

They give you a full cookie tray size pan of delicious homemade nachos however the cheese wasn't fully melted and I feel like if they had slightly charred or reduced or cooked in any way the onions it would have been an absolute 10 out of 10 I would probably give it a strong 3.5 for the food but the atmosphere and the friendly staff and speedy time on the food and really good prices. 9.9/10 recommend

Dead atmosphere hardly any people ever there. Food looks good though.

It is comfortable, casual, and the staff is friendly. The burger and salad I had were good.

Food? Great prices.Drinks? Even better.Service? Best.You cannot go wrong visiting this establishment. Supporting the pub is supporting your union, make it count soldier!

For students but in university hours, that's a little sketchy when you are considering it's a pub but the vibe is worth it

Just had a top 5 worst meal of my entire life . Usally the food here isnt too bad but i never get the Caesar salad cause its always watered down and taste of nothing. tonight was suppose to fries and the house burger, ended up receiving the chicken burger with banana peppers and caesar salad that the had the texture of a newspaper that was sitting out in the rain for a week. literally took 1 bite of it and almost puked!. picked up the burger to take a bite and the bun was soo soggy i thought i was playing with rotten baby food. Will be a long time before i order from here again

Food and drinks are really good but it can take a while for food to come out

I would have given it 5 stars…. However, the band stopped playing after 5 minutes and didn’t come back on until 30 minutes after they said they would come on. Despite this experience, great atmosphere, great brews and a great time with great friends.

Great times are always had at the VIU pub. The manager, Mateo, came and introduced himself and created a welcoming atmosphere for us. Great food and beer as always! Just wish that Duncan VIU campus would follow suit and have a pub there too!
