Its a cute little place with pretty good food with decent prices and a nice variety typically unseen at similar asian restaurants. Was a bit uncomfortably warm, however it was around 25°C outside. Overall had a good experience otherwise.
It was sunday, most other ramen shop in town closed. So I walked 45 minutes from the ferry line to try the ramen here. I asked their recommendation, and I was told to try their Aburi Tonkotsu (braised pork slabs). It was ABSOLUTELY phenomenal. Easily the best shashu I've ever had. Pure joy in the mouth. The broth, pastas and presentation where perfect as you would expect from the best ramen shop. I wasnt execting that from a small town like Nanaimo. I have reviewed ramen...
Service was excellent, the waitress was fast going all over the place to all the tables but without making me feel rushed ever either. Amazing job.
The food wasn't the best especially the chashu pork which was very dry and tough. I will be going back to give them another try because it could've just been unlucky.
