It used to be a great place to have a few bevies and some good food. Since a new owner has taken over.....it's definitely an "ok" place to visit. Their pizzas used to be epic....definitely sub par now. Their food is ok, but not worth the price. And the beer has gotten more expensive. And the service has declined. Not because of the servers themselves, it's just not staffed like it used to. It's too bad. It used to be a great place.

Third time there for one drink and last time. This place needs new management. Service is slow and another rude sad face waitress who cant smile. Zero customer service. Will pass on the food and its overpriced. No tip!

Heard from locals a few months ago that the food was awesome… My husband and I visited Saturday night. Got there around nine… Empty parking lot…. A few boys having drinks and having fun, but no one was eating.
Waitress was awesome and had great conversations with her throughout our visit.
The food was liysy sorry to say. Tough and chewy wings, no flavour. Calamari really should not even have been offered. Should’ve said we only have tiny crumbs so please choose something else. The biggest pieces in the calamari basket were the jalapeño peppers and some broken green beans on a bed of grease. The supreme pizza was a big disappointment - no sauce , barely any veggies and I don’t know what kind of sausage meat that was, but it was weird . Was almost like they forgot the cheese and threw it on the pizza then into the microwave just before sliding it into the box. — I mean, who doesn’t like a little bubbly cheese on their pizza? This was a white melted mass on top of it - Never saw anything like this before. We heard so much about how great the pizzas at the wheaty are.. Well I don’t know what was happening Saturday night but definitely nothing was great about the food… The best money was tip for the sweet server.
Believe me, you are lucky I’m writing the review and not my hubby.

The Wheatsheaf came through for a fabulous Birthday lunch for 20 of us. The service was wonderful, the food was great and they set us up so we didn’t disturb anyone else! Thank you for making my day special!

Horrible service & poor food .
Cold and undercooked fish& chips. Servers barely checked on us and were more interested in chatting amongst themselves than serving paying customers.

Stopped in for a drink .. I wanted to eat ! The wife said no ( she wanted shushi) they had a steak sandwich with Ceasar salad and fries for $21 . It looked amazing, and the people beside us got pizza ( which looked delicious as well ! ) don't go down to Cedar often. But will definitely go for a meal there ! It's an old pub ( moose head on the wall so "snow flakes " are warned . Lol there's pool and pull tabs too

This place is the Definition of a dive bar.
I think this is a regulars only kinda place.
We came in while we were waiting for our car across the way.
About 230. Not a single server in sight, no one behind the bar. There were a cpl ppl at the bar and 1 table that had a cpl ppl, so maybe 4 or 5 customers. We sat ourselves on the patio. I went back in bc obviously no one saw us come in so I waited at the bar to place an order for beers, told her we were on the patio. Had to go back in to order more beers a cpl times. Server only finally came out to the patio was bc her shift was ending and wanted to square up our bill. I shouldn't have tipped 20% but I did, if I gotta walk up cafeteria style to order my drinks I'm not tipping.
Not too eager to go back.

Been ordering from here for years and was always great, last couple months went totally downhill. I ordered wings a couple weeks ago and there were cold and dry and ordered nachos and cheesy bread tonight to go and got a plate of nachos with no cheese and full chunks of peppers and it was 50$! I had to supply my own cheese. The cheesy bread was two pieces of cold garlic bread in a paper bag. Called back to tell them and they hung up on me.

Great local place to go too
But, one time, they forgot to take something off the menu, which my friend ended up ordering. Only after she got the food did and she asked about a missing ingredient did they admit their mistake. They also still charged her full price despite have a missing ingredient.
Server was kind, but it sounded like the owner/cooks need just a little more transparency on what they don’t have before people order.

Wheatsheaf pub and restaurant offers amazing food with friendly staff working there. I usually go there for business and take friends and colleagues. The food is delicious and yummy, and the staff are very friendly and welcoming.
I highly recommend going there and having a bite.
Super rude staff when we went in
