We had an impromptu dinner not thinking of the consequences. Arriving with no reservation, we were received warmly. A restaurant with a beautiful smell, just increased my hungry levels. The amazing view leaves you in awe but then comes the food. Zougla's left us raving about food in Nanaimo. You have not lived if you have not dined in this fantastic restaurant. Every dish was perfectly cooked and presented. Our taste buds will never be the same. Lamb shank, calamari, saganaki, Athena's chicken and pork belly. Best ever. We will be back to do it all over again and again and again. Thank you Zougla for restoring our faith in good dining experiences. PS eat that bread you are offered before the meal comes. It is heavenly!!!
The food was 10/10. We had spanikopita, calamari, surf n turf, and lamb souvlaki. Everything was perfect. Our server Gabby was exceptional.

Absolutely amazing experience — first time here and definitely not the last! Everything from start to finish was perfect. The drinks, appetizers, and mains all came out quickly and were absolutely delicious. The service was spot-on — friendly, attentive, and efficient. I was so full by the end, I didn’t have room for dessert… but that just gives me a reason to come back! Highly recommend!

One of Nanaimo's nicer restaurants. Zougla has a quiet atmosphere, wonderful servers and a variety of menu items generally of Mediterranean origins. Seafood, steak and pasta are all represented. If you want a quiet, higher end meal in Nanaimo, you can't go wrong.
