Revisiting after three years and once more, I had an amazing experience at Ali Baba Capilano Café. Their food brought me back to my childhood, especially the Jigar, which was cooked perfectly and full of flavour. And the sirabi… honestly, that’s something I’ll never forget. It’s rare to find that authentic taste here, but they do it exactly right. What really makes this place truly special is the atmosphere. It feels like stepping into Tehran in the 1350s, or walking into an old traditional village store. Thanks to the team for keeping this beautiful tradition and flavour alive. I’ll definitely be back.

We had a nostalgic and delightful time at ali baba! The food was juicy and tasty, and the owner was super friendly. Though I think it would be very nice if they followed their business hours more closely and opened on time😅 but the wait was soo worth it

We went to Alibaba a few days ago and were honestly blown away by how delicious the liver and heart skewers were. It tasted just like the real thing back home in Iran, rich, flavorful and perfectly grilled. I’ve tried a few other places, including one we visited before based on a recommendation from Amir, the admin of the Persian Vancouver page, who had called Alibaba dirty and even made some awful claims about the owner. That other spot (Hidra) turned out to be a huge disappointment. In my opinion, if you’re looking for authentic Iranian-style liver and heart in Vancouver, Alibaba is the only place that truly delivers. Don’t let rumors or negativity fool you, taste speaks for itself.

Friendly service and great food! We had their jigar, del, and golveh skewers, which were fresh and juicy.

This place is known as Ali kasif. They will over charge you if you don't pay attention.
The shop smells like ash tray and the tableware is dirty and gressy.

Worst kebab I've ever had in my life, cabbage, one slice of cucumber and tomato, meat and a teaspoon of sauce. And for that, I paid 17 dollars
