Everything here feels so traditional and comforting. The breads and kulareh all give a sense of home. I really love this place; it brings back memories of Kurdistan for me, and every time I come, I feel nostalgia and peace.

The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is warm and cozy, and the quality of the bread and kalaneh is excellent. I recommend Amir Bakery to everyone.

Poor customer service incredibly rude and disrespectful. Me and my family don't like sesame seed on our bread and I have ask them politely to make Barbary bread without sesame seeds and told me if I don't like it then I should leave.

Amir Bakery is truly outstanding! The bread here is always fresh, flavorful, and made with excellent quality ingredients. Every time I visit, I’m impressed by the consistency and authentic taste that reminds me of traditional Iranian bread. The bakery itself is spotless, well-organized, and creates a very pleasant experience for customers. The staff are also friendly and professional, which makes every visit even better.

For anyone who is looking for authentic Iranian bread in the area, I can’t recommend Amir Bakery enough. It is simply the best place to enjoy fresh, high-quality bread that feels just like home.

Amir Bakery is one of the best spots in Vancouver for fresh, delicious Persian baked goods. Everything we tried — from barbari bread to sweets — was full of flavor and freshly made. The shop is always clean and well-organized. A special thank you to Ms. Reyhane, who was incredibly kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. She made our experience even better with her warm attitude and great service. Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality Persian baked goods!

Great Bread, Friendly Morning Staff — Some Room for Improvement in the Afternoons

We live outside of Kelowna, but whenever we’re in the Lower Mainland, we make a point to stop at Amir Bakery in North Vancouver to stock up. Their Barbari bread is by far the best we’ve found — fresh, authentic, and consistently high quality. This morning’s visit was another great experience. I picked up 20 Barbari breads along with a few other items, and the staff were fantastic — super friendly, helpful, and even assisted us with our bags. The price on the Bulgarian cheese was also quite reasonable.

That said, I’ve noticed some mixed reviews about customer service — and I did experience that myself during a visit on Monday late afternoon. There was only one employee working, and while we didn’t purchase anything that day, she was unusually focused on tips — asking why the debit machine wasn’t set up for them and even pressuring my brother-in-law (visiting from Europe) to leave one. He gave her $10, but the experience felt awkward and pushy.

Despite that, I’ve been a regular customer for quite some time and will continue going back as long as the quality stays high. Morning service has always been excellent — I’d just recommend some improvement in consistency during later shifts.

This was one of the worst service experiences I’ve ever had. The woman who was serving us was absolutely not customer-oriented. While we were trying to talk to her, she just stared at the wall and clearly had no interest in responding. It felt like we were bothering her just by being there. The service was completely unacceptable and beyond disappointing. I will never return to this place again. Honestly, I believe this person needs serious behavioral training and should consider getting professional help as soon as possible.
