BjornBar Bakery - Edgemont Village

The place is lovely! I’m not often in north van so it was a random choice. I was looking for a nice place to have a coffee. I checked the rating, and pics and it was exactly the same in real. Nice decor, fireplace, and surprisingly it wasn’t busy so I easily found a table (the cafe next door was super busy) they had a variety of coffee and sweets, so I was confused. I just ordered cappuccino and Halloween themed sweet - meringue (it didn’t like it much bcz it was hard, but it’s usually like that ?) staff were friendly. I found a free parking somewhere nearby, you just need to drive around as it’s busy.

Parking: You can find some parking if you drive around. They have some at the main street but it’s usually 1-2 hours limit. Otherwise somewhere a bit further.

This place is awesome! I came in today to purchase some bars & a pie as i am new to the village i heard about this place . the pastry chef Kyla helped me out , i had over 50 questions and even though it’s probably been a long day for the team she was so kind and took her time to explain every single thing i asked about them , she even boxed it up for me . If i could give her 1 million stars i will . Please make sure Kyla see this review , she is a true gem & made my thanksgiving.

The coffee and bakery are nice but a bit pricey. The sandwiches are too thin for the price. We took roast beef sandwiches with the dip but they were almost only bread and no meat...which for the price were not very substantial.

Used to love this place, was looking forward to a similar experience but our quiches didn’t feel fresh this visit & service was absolutely impersonal. The Bjorn bar was still stellar, but the other two bars we ordered were dry & felt stale. Nice to see it still busy, hopefully was just an off day

They definitely need to update their hours on googled maps. Says open till 6 I got here right at 5 and they were closed. So frustrating when businesses aren’t consistent in their hours and you drive across town only to be disappointed.

Awesome place to have a sip of coffee and enjoy pastries. The selection did decrease from during the COVID time, but the quality did not go down :)

A year ago, this place was my go-to place. It had the most delicious art tart (artichoke tart), and the best cake ( don't know the name) that came in small squares slices with gold lining. Fast forward to a year later, they've stopped making art tart and the cake. And the "fresh oj" that I thought was freshly squeezed came from a box (Tropicana?). Too bad that they took out things that made me go back.

Ordered a latte and a pistachio croissant. I asked them to toast and it was amazing. Crunchy, flavorful, and not too sweet. Def recommend

Awesome bakery in Edgemont Village. Great food and coffee, sidewalk and indoor seating, friendly staff, and quite reasonable prices. I'll definitely go back again when in town!
