Came here for dinner and my partner and I had an interesting experience…We ordered a squid rice, japchae, and a dumpling egg soup! The japchae was 3/5, could’ve had a bit more beef and was definitely in the oily side. It had more of a Chinese flavour than a traditional Korean japchae (I don’t know anything about it other than when I was Korea the ones I had were super different but it could be a regional dish!! So that’s just my personal thoughts)The squid rice was amazing, I would totally eat it again!!But the soup…It was flavourless and quite literally had no taste…It had no salt and no flavour and was really plain. We tried to add some sauce from the rice to help but nope, it just wasn’t our cup of tea.We kindly brought it up to our server and she got, as we anticipated, very annoyed. We told her everything else was great though but it didn’t help. She proceeded to ignore us the rest of the time which made it hard to get the bill in which we were forced to flag her down since she didn’t want to come back to our table. She and her coworker rolled their eyes at us and we felt really uncomfortable… I definitely wouldn’t recommend the service. She left the soup on the bill, despite it being untouched, but what can you do…Overall not bad food, but do what everyone else does and DoorDash!

The spicy pork dish was fantastic, as were the side dishes. Wasn't the biggest fan of the fried squid (quite stringy) but perhaps that's more of a palate thing. One thing is - stay away from delivery. It truly doesn't translate well. You're much better off enjoying all the dishes in person on their piping hot stone plates and platters.Vegetarian options: I cannot read Korean so who knowsParking: parking out backWheelchair accessibility: ground level access

My son suggested we dine here last night so we gave it a try. AMAZING find. The food was fresh and tasty. The menu had a great variety of foods to choose from. The lady who served us was so sweet and took the time to explain what was being served.

We were looking for a new place to try in North Van and settled on Bori Korean Restaurant. They're next door to Bubble Tea Bluemoon. We dropped in on a slow Friday evening (7:15pm). Service was friendly and our table was given a full teapot. Prices are on the higher end. Staff didn't ask about our group's spice level preference. - Banchan - sliced fish cakes, pickled radish and kimchi. Standard. Refilled once but after that, they charge $2.00. - Bibimbab ($17.99) - simple but hit the spot. - Soft tofu soup ($16.99) - broth was okay but lacked depth. - Deep fried chicken ($15.99) - pumpkin seeds and dried cranberries were very random. Chicken itself came out hot but wasn't crispy. - Spicy pork ($25.99) - overpriced for what you get. - Tteok-bokki ($19.99) - kimmalyee was a tasty addition. Everything else was typical. Nothing stands out at BKR. There's better Korean options in North Van.
