My husband and I had been regulars at this restaurant since it opened. We noticed last year that the menu had changed and came to find out that Chef M, one of the cooks, and the manager we loved had all moved on.
We went in to eat there after the changes, and we left slightly underwhelmed.
I decided to give them a try again, hoping for improvement, and was really disappointed with the tteokbokki I received through UberEats. Despite being very tasty, and perfectly spicy, there were only 2 slices of fish cake and a small number of rice cakes in a bowl that is half the size it used to be. It also did not come with the vegetable tempura as was advertised, but it did come with a surprise egg.
The kimchi is too sweet and doesn’t have that homemade taste. They also used to offer the option of red or white kimchi, one cabbage-based and one daikon-based and they don’t have that anymore.
While I can understand food costs have increased, and changes must happen, they don’t seem to be for the better.
We really miss the old menu, chef, and high quality, friendly neighbourhood service we had come to know and love, and I’m sure others do as well, since the restaurant is no longer full like it used to be.

Just ordered chicken, pork barbecue and pork kimchi stew.. and its all good. Bbq pork really good with pork kimchi stew. My favorite is the soy garlic chicken. This resto never dissappoints me.🫶🏼🩵

This is my bf and mine’s favourite korean chicken… we ordered our usual tonight, half-and-half sweet spicy and garlic soy. The girl on the phone said okay, and the website says open until 2am on Saturdays. Then, 10 minutes after we placed our order, we get a call back saying actually no, we close at 1030 so we cant fulfill your order. We had ordered at 1030, and they had said okay. Really disappointed… we were already getting set up for dinner. Would be okay if they had just said “we’re closed”, but feels bad when they say “okay” but then do not honour the order.

It had been a while since I had Korean food and coming here really hit the spot. Not only was the food really good, but the service and atmosphere is very friendly. Definitely recommend coming here for affordable, but yummy dishes with a lively atmosphere!
