I recently visited this restaurant, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. I ordered the octopus stew and a beef battered pan-fried dish (though I don't remember the exact name). The beef was awful—it seemed pre-cooked and was microwaved just before serving, making it cold on the inside. We asked for it to be reheated but requested it be pan-fried to maintain the crispy exterior. Unfortunately, they still microwaved it, which left the garnish (green onions and peppers) dried out. As a lover of Korean food, this was by far the worst Korean restaurant I’ve been to. The octopus stew was decent but not the best I’ve had.
As for the service, the server was nice and polite, but the overall experience was marred by the food quality and atmosphere.
The atmosphere wasn’t great either—the music in the kitchen was so loud, while the music in the dining area was completely different, creating a distracting and annoying vibe.
Overall, it was a frustrating experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Korean meal.

This is one of the restaurants I never want to visit again. I went with my family for a meal, but the bulgogi was mostly vegetables with barely any meat. The bigger issue was that after eating the stir-fried octopus, my whole family had stomach problems for two days and had to take medicine. I can’t speak for the other dishes, but I definitely wouldn’t recommend the stir-fried octopus.

I ordered Ddukbaegi Bulgogi for $22 and got 4 pieces of beef inside which is way too small meat portion for that price.
I am very disappointed with the quantity of the food, really different from what I see on menu picture.
Spicy octopus was good and so do kimbab. But then... was it exceptionally good? Probably not. Also, dont order fried chicken here. Its not horrible but... i mean there are better korean fried chicken places out there.
So, if you have to have korean food in north vancouver, this is one of two korean restaurant in this city... so you have no choice and this okay restaurant. But well, idk

I ordered a jjampong myun spicy seafood noodle soup. It’s a seafood soup but it literally came with two shrimps and maybe two rings of squid. That was it. It was just broth two pieces of seafood and kimchi. I expected way more. The pictures on there menu showed way more ingredients. The soup was good but I expected more.

Pretty good food! It kind of smelled like smoke though if you sat by the front door.
Since I live far away from Vancouver, I wanted to eat Korean food after a long time, so I visited with my son's friend. There were 8 of us, including a baby, but it was a time when there weren't many people, so we asked if we could put a table next to it. (There were 5 people sitting in a seat that could seat 8)
But the server’s expression immediately changed. He had a really annoyed expression. From the moment we entered, they weren't happy about the large number of people coming in. From the moment I first walked in, I didn't want to eat. We could have just come back out, but it was hard to find a Korean restaurant nearby, so we had to sit at tables together. (When we went, there were only 3 teams, so there wasn't a shortage of tables.)
I can't forget the look on the server's face while I was eating the food, so even the delicious food wasn't very good...
Is this a restaurant with a occupancy limit? Is this restaurant not accepting children?
I don't understand how they provide such a service.
I don't often leave reviews like this, but it was so memorable that I left it. I hope this situation doesn't happen next time due to the server.

"I had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant due to the poor treatment from both the staff and the service overall. I will not be returning, as this level of unprofessionalism does not deserve my business. The older Asian gentleman, in particular, was exceptionally rude and disrespectful. I would appreciate knowing who the owner or manager is, as I expect an explanation for this unacceptable behavior.
If this individual is indeed the manager, I sincerely feel sorry for both the establishment and its customers, as this reflects very poorly on the restaurant’s standards."

UPDATE OCT 2024:
The menu completed changed since I visited last year, so I was a bit disappointed for not being able to get the dish I liked, so me and my 3 other friends ordered fried chicken, 비빔냉면, 뚝불 & 돼지고기 김치찌개.
fried chicken & 뚝불 was alright, but 김치찌개 was subpar, and 비빔냉면 was shockingly bad. No taste at all on the noodles, and only thing you could taste is the spicy flavour. I am a believer of no-food waste and I usually dont leave any leftovers, but the 냉면 was so bad that I couldn't finish it. It was the worst one I had in my life pretty much.
I have told the server after paying for everything, that the 냉면 needs to improve to be able to sell. Hope it gets better in the future, and I will give one more try ordering other dishes, and I really hope they are good, because this used to be my favourite restaurant before the menu change.
Question to the restaurant: did the chef change along with the menu?
2022 REVIEW:
A great place for a Korean dinner over a wide selection of drinks on Lonsdale.
Could feel a bit pricey, but the food definitely makes up for it. Some menus are not as common as the ones you see at a typical Korean restaurant, and it was exciting to see a few creative dishes. The staff was friendly, and they had variety of dishes for us to use for different type of food we ordered.
If you order the spicy stir fried squid, make sure to ask for the fried rice with a remainder sauce!
Strongly recommended!

Absolutely disgusting. 🤢
I ordered the tuna kimchi jiggae. It was so stinky, smelt like rotten fish. The soup itself was SO SALTY!! My lips were stinging a few minutes after I began eating from the ridiculous amount of salt. I paid a whopping 18$ for a bowl of stinky, fishy, salty dirty dishwater.
I don’t know who the cooks or owners of this restaurant are, but if the owners and cooks are Korean, I have a question for you guys:
Do you have any pride in being South Korean? Do you have any pride in your culture’s cuisine? If you do, why are you fooling customers and serving such rotten, MSG laden, salty food? And calling it “Korean food”?
I lived in Seoul so I know how incredible real Korean food tastes. Please don’t go to this restaurant - it’s garbage food.
