I love afternoon tea so it’s great that there is a local place to do that here at the Quay! However, the value for money is poor, paying nearly $25 for three finger sandwiches, two small baked items and a single cup of tea. The tea was very nice, and the sandwiches were tasty, but very small. They had sold out of scones by just after noon.While renovations at the Quay certainly play a role in this, having no plates or tea pots or designated seating made the experience feel cheap, especially with the cost of food to quantity of food ratio. Service was good, and it was very nice that they made the sandwiches fresh! I hate to be too harsh on the staff who were pleasant, it is really the atmosphere and pricing that the lower rating reflects.

Placed a cake order a couple weeks ago for a small size... turned out to be an X-small... repeatedly emailed for refund of the difference... still haven't heard back!! So I ended up going to the store to complain but the girl there was acting all clueless, called the office and then said I could expect a refund within days... and of course that never happened!! They can keep my $10.The cake itself was just fine but I ain't going back again.. their service/manaagement is simply horrible!!! They seem to have zero respect for customers... would much rather go to Whole Foods

I ordered a cake from here for my birthday and it was delicious! I ordered online and had confirmation the next day so the entire process was super quick! The cake itself was super fluffy and had just the right amount of cake to icing ratio. I will definitely be ordering from here again!

Best cake I've ever had! We had Butter Lane create our wedding cake for our June 2022 wedding. We sampled a few of their delicious flavours and landed on their Lemon Meringue. We ordered a small two tiered cake to officially cut during our reception. They worked with our florist to add flowers to the cake that matched our wedding bouquets.We also had two layered sheet cake to serve our guests. Everyone absolutely loved it! It was talked about for weeks after the wedding. We will definitely be getting more cakes from them in the future.

I dont know why the reviews are so low and I honestly don't care to read why! This place is amaaaazing! I have been several times and evertime I go I fall in love with the staff and the sweets. I personally am not a fan of sweets but when a craving hits this is my go to now.I got the gluten free, vegan cupcake (and I'm niether) and it was honestly the best cupcake I have had. . Don't knock it till you try it, and I recommend trying it ?

I was waiting for an employee and when one finally came, instead of asking how she could help me, she told me I couldn’t stand at their location. I told her I ordered a cake. I hoped for better service, having spent almost $100 on a cake.I enjoyed the cake but my husband hated how sweet it was.

Despite some initial miscommunication, they ended up creating and providing me with some amazing cookie cream tarts. The tarts were not only delicious, but absolutely beautiful too. Thank you!

Do you love cookies? Because I do! The cookies at Butter Lane Bake Shop were amazing, the best ones that I had in a long time. You should grab some cookies and a cup of coffee to enjoy at the pier.
Went for breakfast and scones were rock hard and gross. Cookies were old too. Super disappointing their baked goods are not fresh definitely more than a few days old.

The bakery is located inside Lonsdale Quay. The bakery shop is quite big compared to the other stalls. They sells macarons, cupcakes and other bakery sweets like cookies. I got six cupcakes. They were fresh and moist but they were nothing too special. I have had better cupcakes before. The flavors they sell are nothing special. Behind the bakery are some tables and seats. I believe those seats are for all customers of Lonsdale Quay and not specific to Butter Lane Bake Shop. Prices are on the higher end for something that is nothing too special. Staff were friendly.
