The food was absolutely amazing! However I found our waitress along with another standing at their desk to be rude upon arrival and while serving us. Also paying at the till, staff tried to bypass my sister and serve new customers while my sister was trying to pay on our bill on the way out back to the hospital. They need to work on customer service, facial expressions and body language. Rude staff.

Ordered takeout. Server asked if I wanted condiments, for a fish and chips place I assumed it came with tartar sauce already so i didnt ask for that. I had my fish and chips bone dry, and the fries were unsalted. Fish and breading was good but lacking tartar sauce.

you will not find a deal as good as the ayce one here at c-lovers. the fish and chips were actually fried really well — super hot, fresh, crispy, with each bite releasing a torrent of moist, juicy fish — and obviously the quality of the fish is not mind-blowing quality, but the taste is still really good. the fries are also thick, potato-y, and warm, perfect with a sprinkle of salt. the tartar sauce is tangy and has a really strong dill flavour, and it comes in a bottle so you can really splurge. it does get a TAD greasy/oily once you eat a bunch in the end, but their LEGENDARY coleslaw is REALLY creamy and fresh, so it balances well. they also don’t load you up on fries (and you have the option to only get fish/choose how many fish you want when you order again), so it really is a fantastic deal. bottomless pop too. the onion rings are also massive, had really hot, thick batter, and was just so good. C-LOVERS FOR LIFE !

I’ve just ordered and picked up one meal of halibut 2 pieces and large coleslaw salad as extra at North Vancouver ( Pemberton ave. )Location and paid on the spot including tip. When I’ve got home I found there is no tartar sauce and no regular coleslaw included with a meal. I called this location to complain but their explanation is, let say “funny ”, they said they include tartar sauce and regular coleslaw only if you dine inside!?!? That was first time I came to this location, but I picked up several times in Horseshoe Bay location last several years and always got tartar sauce and regular coleslaw included without extra request. I am so sorry to I came here and gave a tip (even girl at counter was really nice and polite)!

Place was empty at noon which surprised me. It was seat yourself which was fine but the restaurant had a horrid sewage smell, it wasn't fish.
We ordered the halibut platter and an extra piece as there were two of us. I had to ask for another plate, as we were sharing.
No real interaction with the two servers as they sat at a table nearest the door and didn't come around until we asked for bill.

This place is amazing! From all the c-lovers I had been, this one in particular for me is the best one because the pieces of fish are a bit bigger than the rest! The environment was clean and tide! X-mas music so relaxing and I saw some people enjoying there time. Service was great, the waitress did a smile to me, and no complaints! Overall, I’ll come back, maybe with friends. There are parking outside, and a bus stop close by!

Best halibut and chips dinner

We had lunch here today and tried the all-you-can-eat fish & chips. The food was excellent, the fish was fresh, the chips were delicious, and there was no bad smell at all. The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. The staff were very friendly, and the place had a nice, cozy old-style vibe that I really liked. I definitely recommend it!
