We came here for many years, even after moving to Langley. However, after the original owner died and all the long term staff left, it went straight downhill. Apparently, his daughter took it over but with none of the original cooks, and no idea how to have a clean restaurant, it was disgusting. We saw there was a name change, so went in to try it in August for take out but quickly left before ordering. A terrible shame that such a fine, well run for almost 5 decades restaurant has completely disintegrated.

Have been eating here for close to 40 years. Always our favourite restaurant. Have been several times in the past few months and the quality of the food has been rapidly declining. At the last visit our favourite dish the sweet and sour breaded prawns were not edible. Restaurant was filthy and the staff were non existent. Sadly we have decided to never go back. Time to shut this place down. Thanks for a great 40+ years CC! We will miss you but all good things come to an end.

There are no words. We waited over an hour for our food. While waiting, we had “live” entertainment as we watched a rat, the size of a house cat, walk across two tables and scurry over the chairs around the tables. We finally lost sight of it, but did take some fantastic video that will be forwarded to the health department. There was only one waitress working the floor and answering the phone for the plethora of takeout orders. The two cooks could not keep up and customers had to be turned away. We have been coming to this restaurant for over 40 years and it has never been this bad. When Daisy retired, Capilano Gardens, as we once knew it, went with her.We will not be returning.

It was fine. Fried rice was bland, chicken was not cooked to my liking and seemed boiled. The atmosphere was like an old church cultural hall or lodge. The staff were all very sweet and prices were good.

Absolutely terrible service. Seemed like they picked someone off the street and asked them to be a waitress. Waited 20 minutes just to get a drink order taken. The waitress was very confused. Food served without cutlery, water without glasses, tea with not enough cups.

CC's is absolutely wonderful. As someone who can't have gluten, CC's is a god-send. The staff are all so lovely and the food is incredible. It's so good I brave the awful traffic going from downtown Vancouver over to North Van!Dietary restrictions: So many gluten free options!!

I don't even know why anyone would go there. Food came so fast but wasn't even hot. While we were eating they were scraping food off the plates into a big garbage pail they carted around the restaurant. So disgusting. When we first walked in and saw the carpet we should have turned around. It was so messy with junk piled up all over the place. We left at the same time as another couple who said that was the worst dining experience. Saturday night and the place was almost empty. No serving spoons or. soya sauce. Even the fortune cookies weren't edible. Would never go again.

RAT. Simply put, the food was fine, nothing to write home about, the decor was messy, but I understand they’re under construction from damage due to a storm. Service was less than stellar. But the real issue was the big fat grey rat that wandered up to our table, sat up and checked us out. Reported to the health unit.

I am a new resident , and this restaurant was recommended to me by family and friends. However, I called ahead to ask if the Chicken Fried rice was made with white meat breast of chicken.I was assured it was, however when I picked it up and brought it home it was full of grizzly, fat dark meat chicken. I had to throw it out, then I also ordered spring rolls which were under cooked and disgustingly wet and gooey.Even the fortune cookie was stale and disgusting, I had to spit it out.Disgraceful that they think they can make edible food.

Do not go to this place for ambience, because they don't have the budget to maintain the place nor hire professional servers. What they do have is the best tofu dish ( 3 cups tofu) in the city. Do takeout, but if you choose to dine in, overlook the rundown surrounding, & you will experience the tofu dish in all its glory. Best eaten with plain rice.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. We were asked to order online via QR code that took us to their website - not just to view the menu- but you are supposed to order there, choose what you want and proceed to check out (included payment, you pay with your card). I mean what is this? Why would I come to a restaurant to do this? I could have stayed at home and order take out.Server didn’t talk to you at all.The whole restaurant smells like old moldy carpet & dust!Food came in literally 5 minutes, how did you even cook it this fast?No plates, food came in paper boxes. There was plastic cutlery, plastic plates on table. What is this?!Dust everywhere, everything dirty. How is this a restaurant? I don’t understand… this was probably the worst experience “dining” I ever had.We are not even in the midst of pandemic, this is pure laziness.

Only order Takeout. There is a new qr code to order and pay everything before you receive the food. You the customer have to do everything now. It was not easy to get it to work. Food comes out in paper containers, not on real plates. You get Paper Plates and Plastic Utensils to eat with. They still ask for a tip too. I would have had a better experience going to the mall food court. This used to be my favorite Chinese food place in nvan for 20 years. I will not be eating here again unfortunately. The photos in the other recent reviews show this new situation.

There’s a really strange smell in the restaurant - smelled a little bit like mold/old bathroom. The food was a bit overpriced and they put alot of broccoli in the beef with broccoli, almost to the point where it was obvious they were trying to chince you. Tbh we came because of the reviews but instantly regretted it. Guess you can’t trust all stars.
