The salmon fish and chips were great, it was perfectly battered and the fish was fresh. It is abit pricey though, but a good solid meal in general.
When you hike, there is a high chance that you will get hungry.
Hence , we stumbled upon this place! It's a little quaint place, possibly a hole in the wall, but there's honeys next door so not so much. They have a great grub menu, with a little bit of each for everyone. Beer selection is interesting, where you can see all the beers on the chalkboard.
I went with the fish and chips, and to start we had some wings and calamari. The calamari was amazing, that crunch was tasty ! The fish and chips as well was fantastic, you can taste the freshness and that little hint of slaw makes it all come together.
The wings on the other hand were good, but they could have been air fried. It was a little on the drier side, but the sauce helped.
Speaking of sauces, there is a whole cabinet filled with hot sauces, which was such a delight to try !
The staff is super friendly and caters to everything you would need.
The outdoor seating is a bit interesting in that a bench is technically shared in the middle table on the patio, so just FYI, don't choose that table!
This is somewhere I would definitely go again! Fish and chips for the win , and cool down with a little beer!
PS. Don't forget about the free stickers and to put a pin on the map !
Fantastic pub!
Best tacos I have ever tried
Absolute joke of an establishment. While waiting for our table to be cleared from the previous occupants (which still hadn’t happened after 15 minutes of waiting), we were greeted by the rudest server I’ve ever encountered, scolding us for having a coffee. If you don’t want us to have outside food/drinks that’s fine. Just politely ask us to finish it elsewhere and then come back. Instead, this guy tries to physically grab the coffee out of my wife’s hands. Just an outrageous way to treat a potential customer. Instead of getting lunch and beers, we left and will not be back. Congrats for driving customers away.
I had a horrible experience where one of the workers (a male with a ponytail) was SUPER RUDE for no reason.
We waited for a patio table for 4 adults, 1 child & 2 dogs. We were prepared to spend a lot of money on food & drinks. We waited at the patio table for 15 minutes without anyone coming to clean the table of garbage & empty beer glasses.
Finally, this guy with a ponytail drops off food to a table beside us & proceeds to rip into me for having a Honey’s Donut on the table saying there are signs everywhere. Then he tries to grab my things to throw them away. I stepped in & said I would put things away. I hadn’t yet because there was so much trash on our table that we hadn’t organized ourselves yet. That being said, THERE IS A WAY TO SPEAK TO PEOPLE & THAT WAS NOT IT. He continued to mutter about how he isn’t affiliated with Honey’s doughnuts. If you’re so upset with the customers of Honeys, then move locations instead of being a total prick.
I’ve been in customer service a long time & that was outrageous. I got up & said alright, we aren’t eating here then & I won’t ever try again. Extremely rude staff, zero customer service, extremely slow service - there’s a lot better options in the area. Don’t bother.
We waited for a table, when one became available, we waited another 15 minutes for them to clean the table, at this point the table still isn’t clean so we haven’t all sat down were told no outside food because we still had some coffee left from next door. We planned to get lunch and beers but the guy was so rude we opted to leave. I think the owner of honeys must have stole this guys wife or something.
Partner ordered a flight of beer, brother and sister-in-law ordered a pint each plus tacos. When she tried to order, the older, unacceptably rudebartender told us to wait before serving us. We had to wait for over 5 minutes, watching the bartender clean the bar and fart about before finally deciding to pour the flight, which could have been done prior to cleaning the empty restaurant. Not to mention the super rude attitude when he found time to escort me out of the bar for holding a box of donuts and coffee from Honey’s, for the road. Then when i threw out my coffee so that I could join my family, the same guy was rude to my daughter for passing the beer my beer glass to me. Won’t be going back despite the decent beer.
Best fish and chips I’ve ever had since I came to

Delicious local food in Deep Cove. My daughter and I ate there twice during our stay in North Vancouver. Service is great, super friendly and accommodating staff and the food was excellent. My daughter said it was one of the best burgers she had in her life! I had the seafood chowder and highly recommend it!

We went to Deepwater Micro Eatery to watch the Monday NFL game. Shout out to Ryan who served us some great beers, wine and a delicious meal. The Halibut and chips were outstanding and I highly recommend it. Very cozy atmosphere without the “sports bar” vibe.
Lots of locals with their dogs were at the bar and it was nice to feel like we were part of the Deep Cove Scene. (Very chill!) It was difficult to get back to the reality of life in the GTA after experiencing this little slice of heaven. Thanks Ryan!! Hope you get Oasis tickets :)

Great little eatery! The food was amazing, but the fish and chips portions are small for what you pay for.
