Overall I'm sad to say I was very disappointed with these pies. Being familiar with British and South African meat pies, I found the fillings to be alright, but the crust to be either bland, underbaked, or to break apart in a powdery way instead of flaky. I couldn't recommend these, though the people working there were absolutely fabulous.

Perfect spot for a quick and good snack. I only tried the chicken empanada and I liked it. The owner is super nice. I'll be back to try more. 🥧También tuve la oportunidad de practicar un poco mi español.😁

Came for the Empanadas, they were a disappointment. Mushy and bland. Crust mushy, fillings mushy and bland.
Grabbed a pizza muffin thing that was pretty good. I'm sure some of their offerings are good but the Empanadas are not. Chimichurri needs some serious work too. 😓

Excellent chicken empanada. At first I was a bit worried about having it warmed up, but the fresh pillowy pastry was awesome. Got one on a whim and I was very pleasantly surprised!
Empanadas are always good. Service is great. Always nice to stroll the quay. Lots of seating available.
But the 5 stars (and more if I could give them) is for the green sauce. It is so delicious that I could drink it.

Loved my fruit tart and strawberry rhubarb empanada. When I noticed they had Inca Kola for sale I asked if they were from Peru and they said yes! We switched to Spanish and I had a nice conversation with the owner. It was a delightful little moment that made my morning! Gracias 🥰

Stopped by here for a treat. All the empanadas looked delicious but I was hankering to feed my sweet tooth. Opted for an Apple empanada and coffee, plus a White Macadamia nut Cookie.
The empanada was nice and crisp with a slight glaze. Filling was nice and hot, not overly sweet. Wife said the cookie was excellent.
The lady was friendly and always had a smile. I'll be back the next time I'm in the area and hope to try the savory empanadas!

i wish i could give this place five stars just because of how nice the owner was, but alas i have a duty as a google maps food reviewer. the empanada crust was really buttery and flaky, but i think the filling was just okay?? it was a great meal, but i was not blown away. that is okay sometimes though — not every meal has to be life changing! i would definitely recommend coming here though, just because of how nice and friendly the owner is. and who knows, maybe i just ordered the wrong thing!

Empanadas are okay, not the best in town. A little bland, not enough fillings and very expensive ($6)! I understand 'cos it is a tourist spot but over all, overpriced tiny delicacies!
Food was excellent. I don’t know how they get their pastry so soft and fluffy. Tons of options. Definitely get the blueberry lemon tart and the hot sauce.
Vegetarian options: They had multiple.

I had the spinach quiche and my friend had the beef savory pie, both came with lentil soup and wow! The quiche was delicious, flaky pasty too and the lentil soup had bits of potato and meat ( I think ground beef?) Plus just the right amount of lentils, so tasty. My friend loved the beef pie, flaky pastry and moist beef filling. We definitely are coming back!! I should have taken photos, next time 😊!! The lady behind the counter was super nice too 💗

The dough was quite bland and lacked flavor, and the filling of the empanada was made with ground beef instead of real chunks of meat, and I couldn't see or taste the onions. Overall, the empanada was tasteless, and the only flavor came from the complementary sauce
