I went to fish works to celebrate my birthday after hearing very good reviews from friends, but I was very disappointed. We ordered several pasta and fish dishes. They were very good, however the paella I got was awful. It was watery, bland and withouth the depth of flavor of paella. It seemed like a badly thawed frozen paella. I would have normally returned the dish but did not want my kids to wait for other dish to arrive. Service was bad. We never got our water glasses replenished and I had to go to the bar to get water. I also never got a beer I ordered. Only after I mentioned it to another waitress I was told there was a issue. But that's as at the end of the meal. Finally, I asked for the bill but I never came. Again I had to walk to find a waitress to pay. They did behind a candle for my birthday and try to make it up with some form of limoncello, but the damaged was done.

Fishworks was recommended by my hotel. We sat at the bar since the tables were full and I'm glad we did because Tom, the bartender, conducted a master class in mixology and oyster shucking. These local oysters were the least expensive I have seen in years and very fresh. I'm sorry I only got 6. My main course was the paella which was excellent. Highly recommended.

One the best seafood restaurants in GVA. The servers are extremely friendly, the quality and portions of food is amazing compared to the price. I had the salmon Wellington and it was absolutely delicious. The salmon wasn’t overcooked, the green sauce at the bottom added a great tangy touch and vegetables were steamed perfectly.
My friends got the seafood tower and there was so much sea food for $40. It said for 2 but I think 3 people could definitely eat it.
Will definitely be back here to try different dishes 👏
