Beautifully decorated place with lots of flowers all around the restaurant.

Food was great and flavorful.
Meat was very soft and tender.

Vegetarian options available and pomegranate tea is MUST TRY!
Freshly baked breads are complimentary.

Service was decent even though we were the only table occupied.

I stopped by Gillaneh Grill House for breakfast and enjoyed a pleasant and relaxed experience. The restaurant offers a self-service setup, which worked well — everything was organized, clean, and easy to navigate.

The breakfast options were fresh and traditionally Persian, including warm bread, feta cheese, fresh herbs, walnuts, and tea. It felt just like a homemade breakfast in a calm, cozy space.

Even though it was self-service, the staff were around and happy to assist with any questions. The environment was welcoming, and I appreciated the cultural authenticity in both food and decor.

Second to none, even in Iran you cannot find such a restaurant. Delicious foods and excellent service provided by Ms. Mahtab

The kabab was good, but the lamb shank and dill rice? Not so much.

We had been to Gilaneh in North Vancouver a few times before and had good experiences, but unfortunately, this time was very disappointing. The quality of the food has really gone down. The rice tasted old and stale, the kebab Soltani had an unpleasant smell like the meat wasn’t fresh and it seemed like they had used frozen meat.
The marinated olives were extremely bitter and unpleasant, and the Kabab Torsh didn’t taste anything like it should. It had none of the authentic flavor and also had that same off-putting smell from the meat.
It’s unfortunate to see such a big drop in quality compared to before.

Kabab koobideh was peeerfect! But not the stews or the tahdig. Tahdig was soo hard to bite than how a good one should be.

Had kebab’n’bread, house-made bread was good.

The restaurant is very beautiful. Very well decorated lots of plants and mesmerizing smell of lilium is all over the place. Amazing variety food that you can select from a very well designed menu. Taste of food was fantastic. Even they offer vegan iranian cuisine options. Thanks to Mahnaz joon make the resturant feels like home. She has a great taste of music selection 🎼Tataloo 😍 👌 😍 🙌 I highly recommend this restaurant if you like to taste variety kebab and also specific food from Gilan province in Iran 💚🤍❤️

I wouldn't recommend going there. The table wasn't clean, and there were mosquitoes around even in the sumac pan, making it impossible to eat. Additionally, there was a persistent bad smell throughout the area.
I ordered Anarbij, it was not bad but for the above reasons I didn’t enjoy it …
Don’t know why I didn’t leave!

I found this place by chance and I am happy I did! A hidden gem on the North Shore. Such kind people and lovely, fresh food. This is now my new favourite place for great priced and delicious home cooked Persian cuisine.

Nothing about this place stood out to me. The food was very average, and I was disappointed by the attitude of the staff. The waitress wasn’t helpful or friendly, which made the experience feel uncomfortable. Even the color of the chicken in the photo showed a lack of care in how it was cooked—it didn’t look like it was prepared by a skilled or even average chef. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for quality food or good service.

Incredible experience. Went to the Sunday morning brunch buffet and enjoyed a variety of delicious traditional Iranian dishes and other items! Live music was absolutely amazing and the servers were on top of their tasks the whole time. Highly recommended!
