Such a fun spot in North Van! Bright neon lights, colorful décor, and 80s–90s tunes set the perfect vibe for a chill night out. The food isn’t trying to be super traditional, it’s that real good gringo-style Mexican comfort food and every bite hits the spot. Sasha kept the energy and service on point. Great food, great vibe, great people.

Unbelievably bad food. We didn’t expect much for a cheap inauthentic Mexican restaurant but wow. Everything we ordered was about a 3/10 at best. Terrible. The food tasted like it was made with microwaved presidents choice ingredients and we left half of our food on the table as well as the house lagers which were not even worth consuming. Paid the bill and ran across the street to browns as fast as we could. Will definitely not be back

Great food… when it comes. Been there 3 times, with each time taking over 45mins to get food out. Then ordering it for delivery through Door Dash the order kept getting pushed. Not sure what was going on there but there clearly is a common theme going on with how long it take to prepare the meal.

I dined in and had tacos. I tried some pork, chicken and fish tacos and I enjoyed all of them, especially the fish taco, that was my favourite. The restaurant has a cool vibe, and I would come again. I think the tacos were a reasonable price too.

Really disappointed in this place after hearing good things Food was mid- they charge for chips and salsa and they bring u a tiny sauce container of salsa and guac ($13 for a plate of premade chips out of a bag and 2 tbsp of salsa/guac… r u fr?) The tacos were tiny and the flavours were not really there… any average person can make better tacos at home Service I think they seemed understaffed this day but the service was not good, I just got up and grabbed myself water, napkins, and hot sauce from the station they had set up for the employees because no one came This tasted like someone just learned how to cook via hello fresh Save ur time and money and go to chipotle lol

I hardly ever write reviews but figured I will in hopes of getting the delicious chicken you use to have before switching it to the nasty ground chicken used now.
Gringos Gastown was one of my absolute favourites places ever. I’d eat myself into a taco coma each time because I loved the chicken tacos so much. When you opened in North Van I was thrilled!!! First few times I was there is was amazing, the manager came and introduced himself and chatting with us. It was a great experience.
Months ago I ordered delivery and got 2 chicken burritos expecting them to be how they always were. We both bit into our burritos and gagged. We assumed we got weird tasting ground beef so we contacted uber and saying our orders were wrong.
Then a few weeks later I went to order again noticed it now says ground chicken. Why????? Why would you change something that was so amazing before. This ground chicken is inedible. This is such a shame but I guess better on my bank account because I won’t be going into chicken taco comas here ever again.
Can I make a petition to bring back your delicious chicken you use to serve?
