Sorry, folks, but I ordered a breakfast sandwich nearly 1/2 hour ago when the shop was empty. I’m still waiting. Meanwhile I have watched a parade of other customers be served their coffees. I get it that coffee is quicker and easier to serve, but Pegsters needs to be better organized if it is to serve food in the morning. I won’t be back.

We always get great service when we go. We're gone for just coffee, lunch both eating in and take out. We love chatting with the owners and getting to know them.

They use Kicking Horse coffee which is what we use at home. Love supporting local businesses and ingredients.

Pegsters is the best family owned coffee shop in North Van, they are super friendly and accommodating to your taste! It’s affordable and they do ICED LATTE with coffee ice cubes!! Which is great because it keeps the taste amazing!!

Pegster’s Coffee Shop is like being in someone’s home. The vibe is: hello you are loved let us feed you. My godddd everyone who came in was a regular, on a level of familiarity where they were conferring with the owner about the soup they would prefer on Thursday. I sat sipping on a iced cinnamon latte that tasted like Christmas in a Cup and honestly if I lived near this lovely space and was ever lonely or bummed, I would come and sit in the comfy mustard yellow chair with a drink and feel instantly better. A bubble of immaculate comfy vibes. Go in and you will immediately know what I’m on about.

My first time in and just wowed by the super cool owner. She is genuine, communicative, attentive, detail oriented and moves like a whirlwind. What a force. The way she talks to staff is very nice too. Some people who work this hard I think find it difficult to work with their staff but she's very supportive. I'm really looking forward to coming back. Oh and prices seem a bit cheap compared to most other places.

I love supporting a local community coffee shop. It is rare to get such friendly customer service and the staff here go above and beyond and the food is always really good. I come here on a weekly basis simply because it’s great food and amazing quality service. It’s so important to support your local small business so check these guys out!

I’m honestly not quite sure why this spot is rated so highly. I really wanted to like it, especially knowing it’s a family-run business, but it just didn’t live up to the hype for me.

I ordered an iced latte and unfortunately found the beans pretty tasteless. On the bright side, the breakfast sandwich was actually very good. The staff were also genuinely welcoming.

Where it fell short for me was the atmosphere and overall experience. The decor and cleanliness felt a bit neglected - it doesn’t seem like the space is regularly refreshed or particularly cared for. The bathroom, for example, reminded me more of a gas station restroom in terms of lighting and decor.

Another issue: there are no outlets. I understand some cafes avoid them to prevent people from camping out all day, but for someone like me trying to work between meetings or just needing to charge a phone, it’s really inconvenient. There are ways to strike a balance - like simply asking customers to make a purchase every hour or so.

Again, I respect the fact that this is a family business, but I’ve seen plenty of family-run cafes that put more effort into creating a thoughtful guest experience. With some updates and more attention to coffee quality and comfort, I think this place could really shine.

I randomly came upon Pegster’s Coffee Shop while out for a walk. Love the overall nature, and refreshing to not only experience great customer service, but enjoyed the conversation as multigenerational torches being passed down. Thank you!

Love their coffee and coffee ice cubes!!

Such a cozy cafe! I have walked past a few times but finally had a chance to go in. I love that they have coffee ice cubes and how bright the inside of the cafe is with all of the natural light. The service staff are all so friendly, highly recommend stopping by!
