Very rude staff and way overpriced for what you get ! The food for takeout was not eatable and I was asked what no tip rudely? Won’t be going back
Best Ginger Beef!
Ordered the ginger beef which was just crispy batter- no beef to be found and a few shredded carrots. The entire thing ended up in the bin, including the rice, as this was ordered to compliment the ‘beef’.
Always the best food! I live in South Surrey but get take out from here if I’m on the North Shore.
We haven’t eaten inside only take out and this is our new go to Chinese food restaurant after our local one changed owners. Food is delicious and we are fussy eaters.
Really good food but a little expensive.

An abundance of vegetables with only a few pieces of beef and chicken, all of poor quality and overpriced. Not recommended at all.

Absolutely one of the worst resteraunts I have ever been to, if i could give a - star i would. Brand new to the area so we thought we walk down and try this place. Customer service is Absolutely horrible, walked in when literally 2 tables were occupied. We were told we have 30 mins to eat and leave!? Like Really!? We got up right there and left...Rather drive to west Vancouver or burnaby and go somewhere else. They need to change there attitude and not be rude to clients. Save your money, time and frustration and go elsewhere.

Our experience at Red Chilli was nothing short of a disaster. We ordered the Mongolian beef and beans, which were supposed to come with garlic, but didn't. The beans tasted old and stale, like they had been sitting around forever before being served. It felt like they had been in exile, and someone finally decided to throw them on a plate. The beef was slimy and tasted awful, like it had been left out for days. The spicy chicken with spinach was equally terrible, as if whoever cooked it was in a bad mood and decided to take it out on the food.
The rice they served us looked like it had been scraped from the bottom of the pot—dry, scaly, and burnt. The spicy chicken with spinach was just as bad, clearly cooked by someone who didn’t care at all about what they were doing. It was far from authentic, despite what they might want you to believe.
When we spoke to the owner, Selena, about our concerns, she couldn’t have cared less. She rolled her eyes as if she was used to hearing complaints and just didn’t care. Her attitude was beyond dismissive—like she thought she was above everyone else.
For the record, this place used to be packed on a Saturday night, and now, it’s almost empty. If you look at the reviews, it’s clear that Selena has issues and is in denial about the problems here. She refuses to fix what’s broken and bring the restaurant back to its former glory.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. In fact, I’ll be filing a report with the health authorities because someone needs to hold this owner accountable. Running a restaurant means providing quality food and a decent dining experience—neither of which you’ll find at Red Chilli. Avoid this place at all costs.
There’s nothing authentic about this restaurant. In fact, it’s far from it. The decor is low-class and pungent, and the owner? Let’s just say they should be ashamed. The only redeeming factor was our server, who was polite and clearly just doing their job. I’ll be initiating a report with the health inspector because this place needs it. Avoid at all costs.

I can't stop thinking about my next visit to Red Chilli Restaurant! They truly excel in quality and understand what it means to serve top-notch food.
The dishes tasted just like homemade cooking, and we were all thrilled with our choices. All three of us loved everything we ordered! We can't wait to return soon, as this place has quickly become a favorite of ours.

Atrocious service. Good food.
I ate at Red Chilli today for the first time in a while, having had been a regular customer since 20 years ago, not exactly expecting spectacular service.
Still, what we experienced was still below what could have presumed. We needed to ask multiple times for water and chopsticks. But these happenings were minor and we were not too upset about them.
Some time after we ordered we had been told the wifi wasn’t working and therefore had to pay cash. Fortunately, my mother had some on her so this was no problem.
After eating, we paid with the limited cash we had, $105 dollars in total for a $95 order. This was what we had on us. When the server lady came to get the bill she counted the money at our table and said, “What? Only 10%?” She left clearly frustrated and angry. I don’t know what she expected given the situation of the restaurant and her subpar service, worsened by her broken English. Her actions upon payment both angered and appalled us.
We are shocked at the experience we had at this restaurant today. It was not our fault the restaurant was limited in payment options or that we found out after we ordered our food.
Seeing other reviews with similar experiences it seems to me that this lady is cutting down on this restaurant’s long-lasting fame. What a shame.
I phoned to order food for pickup. The woman answering the phone was rude, impatient and impolite - just terrible. Something you don’t see everyday. There are so many nice Chinese restaurants with friendly staff that I would never give this place my business.

Terrible customer service. Not going to lie, the food was great, but not the customer service. For starters, we asked for straws as our cups had lipstick stains on them, and she said “no straws.” Which wasn’t a big deal, but that was just the start. We then asked for some boxes for our food, in which they brought a big box to mix everything, but we told them we need separate boxes, because obviously we don’t want to mix our food. She then comes back with the bill, which we couldn’t read, she laughed and said it was in Chinese. We then figured, they were charging for boxes and sauces, and we had to ask for the English version of the receipt, which is when we found that out, so we think she didn’t give us the English version for that purpose. At this point we still didn’t think it was a big deal, as our waitress didn’t speak good English. We finally got the correct receipt, and when we received it, we found that we were charged for soy sauce, and chilli garlic sauce, which is not mentioned anywhere in the menu, nor by the waitress. Then, she charged us for 4 takeout boxes. At this point we were ready to argue, but figured that it was probably their stupid policy, and we won’t be able to change it, so we figured we wouldn’t tip. As we’re signing the receipt, without asking she looks at my sister and tells her you need to tip at least 15 percent, in which my sister replies first of all, I don’t have to tip, that’s my choice, and secondly, you charged us for soy sauces and boxes. She then had a childish outburst in the middle of the restaurant, yelling “WHATT? NO TIP?” Which everyone else in the restaurant saw. Then, she continues yelling out loud that it’s their policy, and we told her she should let us know before charging for something, to which she walked away angrily. We kept the receipt in case she tries to pull something, but beware of the service of this place, specifically the short haired Asian lady who is a server. Not to mention, rice is also a separate charge with your food.

Food was good but service is okay but the old lady at the front did not return our change and took it as their tip without asking us permission even tho the tip was included in the bills!!
Warning: do not pay cash in this restaurant do debit and credit instead because they won’t return your change if you pay cash!
