Steamworks North Shore

Steam works is a brewery, the gas town location is a brew pub. But at this one you can’t get a drink without food and being seated at a table in a sterile restaurant environment. You can’t even buy cans without food - they make you buy a bag of chips. Sort it out steam works, you’re supposed to be about the beer. Very disappointing, was hoping for a good pub. But it’s an average restaurant.

We had the fish and chips which left us disappointed and sad. The fish portion was very small and was soggy, and the batter was greasy. I also had the beet salad which was unbalanced in its dressing, way too much acidity and very little variety of flavour and texture. Overall very disappointing.
Our service was rushed and minimal interaction as to checking how our food was or if we wanted drinks refilled. I received my beer in a can without the server pouring it into my glass.
Wouldn’t recommend to friends.

Since this place opened, for some reason we never got the chance to try it…

Finally, one unplanned evening we dropped by; luckily, there was a free table and no wait!

They have both indoor seating and a lounge. The overall vibe reminded me a bit of King Taps, though it has its own unique charm.

Our waitress, Peyton, was so friendly and kind that she honestly made us want to come back even more. 💛

We caught the last few minutes of happy hour (thanks to her hint!) and ordered a classic (the cheeseburger) served with salad and fries.
While waiting, we saw tempting dishes passing by, like chicken wings that looked amazing.

The menu had great variety, and compared to similar places, the food quality was definitely better.

Even with all the nice spots in North Vancouver, it’s fun to try something new and this one’s worth it! 🍔🍺✨

Delicious food in a friendly environment. The getter at the door gave us option as to where we could sit (their heated patio is dog-friendly). Our waitress, Asal, had great suggestions for us for both food and drinks. Their IPA is truly great — I think it was called Flagship, and their burger is delicious. Would go back, and this time will take the dog too.

We came here for a big birthday celebration and had the loveliest servers one on them being Chloe who was apparently new, I was shocked! Server of our dreams she was an absolute treat and made our night!

Had dinner at Steamworks last night and really enjoyed it. We sat on the heated patio, which was cozy and dog friendly. Their house brewed beers were fresh and flavorful. Our server, Asal, was super friendly and personable. She gave us great recommendations for both food and drinks. We will be coming back, with our puppy this time now that we know it is dog friendly!

I reserved a table to celebrate my birthday with my husband. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The waitress was not welcoming and showed little engagement throughout the two hours we were there. She didn’t even smile once.

When I made the reservation online, I requested a complimentary dessert (beeramisu). However, our server, who seemed in a rush to finish her shift, asked about our dessert order before we even placed our dinner order. She mentioned that the beeramisu was unavailable and instead offered a donut. When I asked for other options, she suggested a single scoop of ice cream, which, to our surprise, was later added to our bill as a “kids ice cream.”

It would have been far more professional and transparent to simply inform us that the complimentary dessert was no longer offered. This left us with a disappointing experience on what should have been a special occasion.

Great experience all around. Smashburger perfect! (For us cooked super well) Other burger ordered great too!🤩 Fries hot 😋Our server, was natural, welcoming and had great timing! Atmosphere is nice. Big place. A variety of places to sit. Check out the menu online. Busy for a Weds eve.
