We stopped here before going to the Lonsdale Quay Market (totally not worth the time, btw). If you are on the area though, the fresh sushi and unique items really hit the spot.

Best sushi in north van!
Love that they strictly only use wild salmon and not farmed.
Service is always great even when its super busy.

My bf and I had awful food poisoning after eating here. We were vomiting all day and it ruined our trip. I had to leave my work conference several times because of the food poisoning I got here.

We ordered the special rolls. Very small portions:
the Snow Mango Roll – rice balls with sour mango and breadcrumbs on top. The filling was practically nonexistent, and the taste was unclear.
The Awesome Roll – very salty and spicy, although the description didn't mention it.
The Blossom Roll – the rice paper was wet that the rolls stuck together that they couldn't be picked up with either chopsticks or hands; we had to use a spoon. The sauce was tasteless.
A total disappointment, a ruined Sunday dinner 😡

The only sushi place you should go. Free tea, flavorful food, great portions and an awesome atmosphere! Also wicked fast service.

I was so impressed with the neat packaging of my order and the generous serving of extra ginger I requested. The edamame was perfectly steamed and the negitoro roll was great too. I'll be back!

I really enjoyed having a late lunch at Sushi Kumo. It was peaceful - I bet they are quite busy during the dinner rush.

Service was polite and very minimal like most sushi places. Decor was light, airy and clean. Nothing out of the ordinary. Prices are higher, but I think its reflected in the quality and care of the food.

I had an entrée but next time I will be trying their rolls and sashimi - overall it was pretty tasty. Would definitely like to try more dishes!

Their fish seemed higher quality and I really liked their complimentary tea; the server told me it was green tea with brown rice, for a more roasted tatse.

This restaurant a nice place to just relax and dine in. A slightly higher-end sushi place close to lonsdale! I think it'll be come a fast favourite :)
