Don't go here for fish and chips. The fried oysters are good and maybe the crab cake. They really skimp out on fish. Paid $30 for two fish, each the size of a child's hockey puck.

I didn’t have any expectations going to the Crab Shop, which was good, as everything we tried (barring the chowder) was super!

The crab is super fresh and you can get a crab sandwich or in a bag to eat as is.
The portions are fair and the price is super reasonable.

My recommendations:

- halibut fish and chips
- crab roll
- fresh crab

I had chowder at a number of places in BC and this was a bit disappointing as it felt like creamy slush and missed any form of rich fish taste.

Overall I would recommend going to the crab shop for a quick, easy, delicious meal.

The seasoning is absolutely on point! 🌟 The crab sandwich is a must-try — packed full of real dungeness crabmeat and so satisfying. I also loved the halibut fish and chips, crispy and flavorful to the last bite. Highly recommend!

No. Overpriced, overcooked. The only flavour in the chowder was pepper. No seafood in it just flour and water. Never again.

One of the fav places to go with family for fish and chips and get some fish for the fridge. Enough parking. Very simple place to stop for a bite, but lots of options to buy for home

Nice prices on halibut cakes, crab cakes and prawn cakes, if that's your thing.

Crab meat sandwich and fries were fair. Made for a good lunch. Many people came through buying fresh seafood and leads me to wish I had!

Great food for takeaway, not the best to eat there since it's really just a shop Vs an actual restaurant

Popular fishmonger that sells fish and chips and other items for dine in or takeout. The takeaway fish and chips we had was quite good. Other items we’ve had over the years are more hit and miss. Staff are reasonably friendly but busy. Being a fishmonger, there’s not much ambiance for dining in.

I haven’t had fish and chips in a while and the last time I had it was from this place. I recall it being good enough to recommend to friends and family, but today I ordered their 3-piece cod and clam chowder soup. It was the worst clam chowder soup I’ve had - very bland and flavour less. Big chunks of pepper that was annoying to avoid. I ended up only having a few bites before I stopped. The fish and chips were okay, but nothing that will make me desire to come back.
