Came up to grouse to have a romantic dinner with my boyfriend for his birthday. A few hours before, I got an email with a free gondola ticket which I was surprised by…. Now I know why. No one would come up to have such an awful meal otherwise. The risotto was over salted. The salmon chowder was fishy in essentially water. And the short ribs were so dry and the sauce tasted like so much salt, we couldn’t finish it. We didn’t order dessert so the waitress brought us a plate with a candle stick melted onto it as a way to say happy birthday…. Just a candle stick on a plate… for $250.

It’s hard enough to go out of the way and do something special for people, especially around Christmas, but I was shocked and so disappointed.

Stars only because the waitress was super kind.

Great food, overlooking the gondola, vancouver and sea. If you reserve online, you receive complimentary lift tickets to grouse mountain. Menu is limited but food quality is good.

We spent 4 days in Vancouver in different restaurants and the Observatory was suppose to be the highlight, unfortunately we have been very disappointed. The tenderloin was well done instead of medium. The service was almost non existent and for the first time ever I did not tip at all as I had to wait more than 15 minutes to pay my bill with several reminders. At the end we received a refund of 20 dollars without any explanation when we got back to the hotel, which did not make up the unfortunate experience at all. I am sorry, but there are way better restaurants in Vancouver to spend you money on.

Every part of this experience was delightful. We really enjoyed our server, Mark, and had a beautiful dinner. It might have been the best steak we've ever had!

Stunning location and view for sunset, our server Ashley went above and beyond to make our dinner a special event, and the food was fantastic. Appreciated the amount of choices for a 2 or 3 course menu, highly recommend!

Beautiful beautiful views!!!! The service was incredible. Thanks to Ashley ( I think. I’m terrible with names ) for her service, kindness, and also giving us some go to places to see while we are here on a holiday!! Also big shout out to the lady at the front door ( sorry didn’t catch her name ) for her kindness and fitting us in a tad earlier than we booked. The risotto and beef tenderloin was perfect, and the lemon meringue was delish!

The food here was just okay, nothing particularly special!
The cocktails, however, were excellent and definitely the highlight of the meal. Honestly, you’re mostly paying for the view, which is beautiful. Otherwise, the food and service are average, and the prices are on the expensive side.

I often see how restaurants with gorgeous views neglect their food or service, thinking that the view will compensate for the lack of quality. This is not the case at Observatory, the food and service are simply perfect. Although we did not have a good view because we made a late reservation, we still enjoyed the food and service. The only thing I find odd is why they changed the previous name, “Peak”, to “Observatory”, as there is already an observatory with a telescope in Vancouver.

It was amazing! From, Chloe, the Hostess, to the waiter, Mark, who was outstanding, and the food was amazing! I had the Pesto Risotto, for my appetizer, the Beef Tenderloin, on grilled Romaine, with Frites, done perfectly! The view was spectacular! But none of it could have been pulled off without the personality and care of our server, Mark!

Went here to celibate our 48th; great atmosphere, service & food. With the city lights displayed below couldn’t ask for a better venue

Everything was excellent – the view, the service, and the food. The only thing was that the wait between the main course, dessert, and paying the bill was a bit long, which was a little tiring, But overall, it’s a 5/5 for me
