We have been going to the raven for about 20 years. And what once was a warm cozy pub is now what feels like a cafeteria. The food is horrible and way overpriced, and the service is terrible. The pub isn’t even open anymore. Probably due to the fact nobody wants to go to the raven anymore. They got rid of the beer store for some shit little bar??♂️. I used to pop in daily for a beer and wings at the bar on my way home from a long day. Never again unless they go back to the way it was in the old days. Whoever is the new owner and came up with all these ideas did the deep cove community dirty! AND WHY WOULD YOU CHANGE THE PIZZA??? It’s horrible now!!!!!! Everyone I speak to about the new raven agrees that we will never support this place again. Everyone who hasn’t been yet I tell them do not go for all these reasons listed above. RIP the raven pub?

Visited to attend a fundraiser which I was told after ordering was a group booking and therefore meant a 20% automatic gratuity - a stretch but ok.
Guinness isn't bad and food flavours were good.
The issue is the service provided - you had to order food and drink at the bar, the server doesn't know where you're sitting so walks your food halfway around the bar looking for the person you ordered from so they can identify you, the food arrives lukewarm, I had to get myself a knife and clear my own table. Now what service is being provided for my 20% tip? Wise up, don't charge a tip (a) without telling me in advance and (b) provide terrible service afterwards. Ridiculous.

We were on a mission for the ultimate pub grub - a juicy burger and crispy chicken wings - and we hit the jackpot in a super chill spot with a friendly server. The only teeny tiny thing that kept it from being absolute perfection was the blue cheese dip, which was just a smidge short of amazing, but honestly, we're already planning our next visit. Blue cheese dip:2/10 (I take blue cheese seriously)

Had a waitress with dark hair blue eyes and a European accent who was rude and condescending. Food isnt good enough to put up with that kind of BS.
Great food, drinks, and service! It’s a small place so it gets packed quickly but when we went there it was only one woman working and she did her very best and succeeded at making sure everyone was well taken care of! Definitely a spot you wanna stop at when you’re in the area. The fish and chips were great and my drink was outstanding!

Excellent food but the service was a miss today.
I went there today at noon with a group of 14 of my fellow swimmers after a camping trip, that finished in Deep Cove. There was only one person on and she got slammed with more people. She really did her best and everyone thought the food was incredible but waiting for 30min for water 45 min for drinks and 1.5 hours for food is unacceptable. DO NOT BLAME US FOR NOT “calling ahead” - why not staff up with more than one person on the weekends?

A wonderful Deep Cove, North Vancouver find. I enjoyed a drink and burger on my Sunday drive. A nice place to visit.
Parking: Easy access from main street. Lots of spaces.

I ordered the “Proper” fish and chips. when it arrived the fish had been in the deep fryer for so long the batter was burnt to a crisp and most of the fish had disintegrated. I told the server(who was great), and asked that she let the cook know. When the bill came they did not remove the awful meal from the bill. I spoke to the server again and she said that she did let the cook and the owner know about the burnt fish, but refused to let her take it off the bill. To the owner: I will never be back, and I hope this review informs others to never order any food at the raven. Shame on you for the disrespect you show to your customers!
Thanks for your reply, however, when the server inquired i hadn't yet tried the fish. I was at a family gathering and didn not want to rock the boat by complaining. And to say that the meal was eaten is incorrect.....I ate the fries, but there was no fish to eat as it had discintigrated in the burnt batter which remained on the plate. You can make all the excuses you want, but the bottom line is you have no customer service experience and shouldn't be owning a restaurant! You left the server to deal with this issue when you, the owner, should have put on your man pants and come out to talk to me. Just sell the place and let someone who knows what they are doing buy it! I will never be back!
