The Shipyards near the Burrard dock pier is a great spot to get views of Vancouver downtown. The splash pad area is a lot of fun for kids so don’t forget to bring swimsuits. We found paid parking in a hotel parkade nearby. There are many restaurants nearby but a lot of long waits during the weekend.
There is lots to check out at the Quay! Pretty accessible by Seabus and busy but never too crowded. During the summer, there are fairs and festivities, and in the winter, the Quay is alive with stalls, lights, and ice skating at the rink. The Christmas market decor could've been more 'Christmas-like' and cozier. There were many stalls and samples, but somewhat random and unrelated to Christmas.
