The food was good but the service was slow. They were about to start live music but it was already quite loud in the Pub, making it difficult to have a conversation. We will return, but likely earlier in the day when it's hopefully quieter.

This was my second visit to Toby's. It has a nice atmosphere. It's clean, has relatively comfortable seating, and the service was average. They have a varied menu, and the food was satisfactory. Prices are comparable to most other pubs I've been too.They have a large stage and a big dance floor. I have enjoyed myself both times I have been there.

It’s a good spot however I went in more than once and there was 1 server, no bartender. I was in there Sunday, we were seated and we knew it would take a very long time to get proper service so we just left. Yes I know they are under staffed but Colony down the street isn’t so we went there.

It’s always lovely to visit pub during the day. It’s a totally diff experience/atmosphere.Lovely staff, it was very quiet during the day therefore the orders came in quick as well!

I really want to like it at Toby's, I have been here a handful of times as it's close to home. Everytime I go the service is extremely disappointing. They get very simple food orders wrong, and it's hard to get a drink, no matter how busy it is. The staff don't care it seems. Keep trying to give it a chance to be a good local pub, but I am done with the bad service and disappointments

Wow. Best burger and fries with ice cold beer I’ve had in ages. Especially at a place I’ve never heard about! For sure going back. Super nice staff and good service too.

Great pub, with a warm welcoming interior. Open mike Friday is a great way to listen to local talent. Decent beer selection and good options off the menu. The za'atar flatbread was as close to a proper Lebanese za'atar manoush'eh, delicious!

The food is good, if you can ever get anyone to take your order. Great events to attend and have a drink, if you can ever flag someone down for that drink. I’ve given this place way more than it’s fair share of visits but every single time the service is incredibly lacking. I would sympathize if this was the case when they were busy, but even on slow afternoons the staff doesn’t communicate who is in charge of tables so you will be overlooked.
Great service.. really good line up of events including live music and dancing.. Yuck Yuck comedy tour... Texas holdem night... special events like Halloween party and costume event... food is top notch pub fare...staff is friendly and attentive... best on the North Shore

Terrible service here! I live in the area so wanted to give this place a second chance after the first visit was very subpar. There were five tables seated in the restaurant and two servers and a bartender working. It took almost 20 min to get our first drink and the service was slow and awful the whole time we were there, despite the place being completely empty. The server was also very rushed and wouldn't stick around long enough for me to order more than one thing. I don't know how they can stay in business!

This is still a place I might go to in North Van. That said, since they changed the menu it has been a lot less appealing. The prices are a bit high for the quality of the food. It would be nice to see more choice for drinks as well.That said, it is a super casual place and I still enjoy grabbing a cider at the pub on the rare occasion.
