Love this place. Alot of history. And the food is great too. Anytime we are in Vancouver we make sure to visit for breakfast

Food was ok, but service was brutal. They didn't make any stops during our meal to check in and didn't offer any coffee refills. This place used to be good, but has definitely fallen off.

Although the staff were nice, the inside of the place smelled very bad—like mold or an old, musty house. It made it really uncomfortable to sit and eat, and honestly, every bite felt unpleasant because of the smell. I’m not sure how people are able to dine in there.
I used to come here a couple of years ago and it was good back then, but now it feels like the place needs serious renovation, a deep cleaning, or even a new location. The food was okay—pretty average, nothing special—but the smell completely ruined the experience for me. Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back.

I went to Tomahawk Restaurant for the first time. Once I ordered fish and chips with salad, it tastes so good.

The food was very good. There is a home-ey touch to the food and does not taste “industrial” (as per my friend). The atmosphere is very cozy, and I loved native decorations. 100% recommend & I would gladly be back.

I had the steak and aggs for breakfast and it was a perfect way to start the day. Much better than any other breakfast place I've been too. Just look at that photo!

Dec. 17/25:
My first time here for breakfast, busy on this Wednesday but not line up at the door busy.
Festively decorated for Christmas, with a gift shop inside the entrance to the right.
Booth and tables as well as a counter with stool seating.
The table next to us graciously allowed me to take a pic of her massive plate: Mixed Grill ($24.40)…such a great deal for what you get. Her partner ordered the Hot-Outta-The Pan ($28.80.
We ordered: Eggs Benny Florentine $20.80 (requested hollandaise on the side), Coffee ($4.50) and Yukon Style Bacon & Eggs ($18.85).
Every table has a bottle of mint water.
Service was great.
The dessert case was full of a variety of pie slices (Banana Cream Pie $7 was one).
Lots of native art to see here.
Definitely go with an empty stomach and big appetite s will not be disappointed.
Parking on-site on Philips Ave. is limited, with additional parking beside and behind the restaurant.

We often stop by for breakfast when in North Vancouver and always enjoy the food and atmosphere. My favorite is the classic eggs Benny.

Food are not at our expectation.
I ordered Salisbury Steak… hoping to get a juicy moist ground beef with rich bold gravy.. not getting a little dry texture meat and doesn’t taste good with lack of gravy.. I only ate like 30% of the whole plate and couldn’t eat anymore. I can taste raw salt 🧂 sprinkled on top of my food and that’s a big NO NO…
The steak pie was not really good either… aside from a nice crispy pastry, not the filling tho.. it’s bland. Service & environment are good. More smiles will be better!
