Omg! Finally! I have searched for years to find perogies with the thick stretchy dough like my mother made and couldn’t believe it was right around the corner. All the food was good, and plentiful. Friendly, attentive service. It is a small place and nothing fancy. But I will be back!

Tucked behind the suburban sprawl of Lynn Valley Mall, Tommy’s Cafe doesn’t scream for attention. It doesn’t need to. It’s the kind of place that’s been around long enough to know that if you serve up honest food with a side of familiarity, people will find you. And they’ll come back.
I was there with my son and his girlfriend, both of them still blinking the sleep from their eyes, nursing mugs of coffee that weren’t exactly rocket fuel but did the job. Smooth, mellow, the kind of brew that doesn’t punch you in the face but pats your back and tells you everything’s going to be okay.
I ordered the Sinaloa breakfast. A plate that doesn’t mess around. Chorizo scrambled with eggs, peppers, and onions, riding shotgun with a pile of crispy hash browns and a tortilla that had seen a proper grill. There was heat—real, smoky, cumin-laced heat—but it didn’t overwhelm. It lingered.
The vibe inside was easy and fokies. Locals chatting with staff who knew their names. No pretense, no curated playlists, just the clatter of cutlery and the occasional burst of laughter.

A delightful stop on north side offering hearty breakfast and other options, one of those places that are a hole in the wall location that you wouldn’t want to miss. Highly recommend coming on a weekday morning for a more relaxed atmosphere.

This is a fantastic spot to visit if you've just been hiking in Lynn Canyon and are starving as I was yesterday. I got one of their breakfast plates which included eggs infused with some sort of magic chili oil. Best food I've had during my entire trip to Vancouver.

We left a cafe that is located near the railway in East Van and realized that the only place we would wanna put our money into is Tommys in North Van. The coffee is insanely good. The breakfast is so imaginative and flavored that I feel justified in paying their prices. AlBeit their prices are lower than most. This is a great place
