In my son’s words “amazing”

This is my favorite sushi place in Metro Vancouver. I always come back for their salmon oshi—it’s so good. Fresh, tasty, and just the right balance of flavors. The service is friendly and the place feels relaxed. I’ve tried a few other spots, but nothing beats this one for me.

The sushi is very fresh and very well done prices are accessible. The quality vs price is amazing.

I had a really disappointing experience here tonight. I ordered a salmon sashimi don — something I regularly get at sushi restaurants and have never had any confusion about. I even pointed directly to the item on the menu to be clear. The server mentioned it might take 15 minutes, which was fine, but just a few minutes later she brought out a hot bowl of salmon teriyaki — definitely not what I ordered or was craving.

I politely let her know, and she seemed to acknowledge the mix-up and went back to fix it. Mistakes happen — no big deal. But then a man (possibly the cook or manager) came out and abruptly insisted I had ordered teriyaki and claimed the server had clarified with me — which she absolutely had not. He spoke over me and didn’t give me a chance to explain. It felt dismissive and unnecessarily confrontational.

Honestly, I just left. I went elsewhere for sushi, where they got my order right with no issue. It’s really not worth arguing with a customer over something so small — is one meal really worth making someone feel unwelcome? I just wanted a quiet dinner. Unfortunately, I won’t be back.

Great food with good service and value

Honestly this place is just simply amazing. It’s our favorite sushi in North Vancouver. Every time we’ve come in the staff are so welcoming and friendly, the service is great without being overwhelming and intrusive. It’s just an all round great experience. We don’t have a bad word to say about the place and we have been here plenty of times now. I have no idea how people could leave 1, 2 or 3 star reviews, yes of course maybe you could have a one off bad experience but I’m sure if you came back you wouldn’t regret it. I give it 5 stars every day or the week.

Today I went to this establishment for the first time to get food. I’m not sure what the woman’s name was but I noticed that she was wearing black pyjama shorts while she was working in the restaurant. I also noticed that she smelled very bad, and to top it off she was extremely rude. I didn’t even stay to eat because i genuinely lost my appetite, the customer service was very bad, I will never go back.

They are able to accomodate big parties! We went to the restaurant as group of 8 and fod was served in minutes! We know that the food was made fresh because we customized our food for allergies and preferences, and you can just tell the freshness from the tasting the food! Service was great! Constant check ups of the table, refilling tea, and clearing the tables on time!!

My husband and I came to eat lunch here..I placed an order 2 beef Yakisoba
, they only gave one.. Again, I asked, sauce on the side for the other Kakisoba, they gave a small bowl of sauce but my takisoba is also covered with thick sauce..

Servers should pay attention to customers request.

Super fast and taste was excellent

Food used to be great. Price has gone up (understandable in todays climate) however the quality is way down. Poorly formed sushi rolls and small portions. Teriyaki dish felt like it was just frozen veggies and a small portion of rice. Really disappointed because I remember this place being a great Lynn Valley staple. Staff were great but the food was not worth it.

Fantastic food and friendly service! They’re super quick too.
