They charge $5 for a bottle of water
The food was so good we would travel back to Vancouver again just for it! The best burger I have ever had in my LIFE! (Home made with a special sauce that is out of this world great).I also tried the home made corn dogs and, again the best I have EVER had. The fries and hot dogs were excellent as was the service, and you cannot beat the view! Great ice cream too! After discovering this hidden gem we went back for another unplanned lunch prior to flying home - we will be back! YUM!!! The BEST!!

The manager/owner was extremely rude to us. We had just bought ice cream, but he told us we couldn’t sit at the outdoor tables because we had bottled water with us. Meanwhile, he completely ignored a group of Caucasian customers who hadn’t bought anything and were openly eating their own snacks at the same tables. The double standard was blatant and upsetting. It was the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced, especially in such a beautiful location. Not coming back.

The worst mushroom burger I’ve ever had! The patty was a freeze meat not fresh at all and tastes awful. Do not recommend at all!

Conveniently located in the middle of the Cates Park, offers a variety of hamburgers with sides, beverages and ice creams. Nice and friendly people working there. Great to have the pictures of the burgers next to the cashier, plus the whole menu to chose from. Thank you!

Great to have a fun spot like this by the water! I would recommend getting a double burger as the patty is tiny, but otherwise great food!!
Unfortunately this burger shack is charging way too much for their Costco burgers. And they should incorporate meal deals, burgers and fries. Like you have to buy everything individually which is highway robbery!! The prices for a single burger is outrageous. Please change this!! Trust me you'll have more customers, if you lower your damn prices!!

Rarely, if ever, do I leave negative reviews. However, I found the service so cold and mechanical. Yes, food is great but it makes me very apprehensive to want to come here in the future.
It looked like the owner served us. Maybe he was having a bad day? Not sure.

Fries were not great but the rest was good. Friendly and very prompt service, clean environment.
They could probably do with a little more signage as the place is not visible if you don't know where to look.

had a great experience! We ordered Wally's from Cate's Park for a work birthday party and everything from the communication to the food was awesome. I will definitely be ordering from them again! Thanks guys! The birthday boy was very happy!

Came here after a morning of beachcombing with 3 kids on a play date. Kids absolutely loved the chicken strips and fries, and our vegetarian kiddo thoroughly enjoyed the Mac and cheese bites. The teenage staff were very kind and pleasant, and diligent in taking our order. While it’s a little on the pricy side, having access to hot food and cold treats is a really great thing, and I walked away with three very happy, well-fed kids… absolutely can’t ask for more!
Kid-friendliness: Staff were pleasant and accommodating, were were able to get mixed slushies (obvious crowd-pleaser), music is kid-friendly.

Much like Cates park itself, Wally's is a once great place place that has become nothing more than a sad and unavoidable reminder of the times we live in. Strangely, 6 onion rings for 10$ (yes it's more than a 1.5 per onion ring) cooked in old oil suits the view that has been disfigured by the pipeline across the water. However advertising having FRESH BAKED BUNS that manage to be worse than Cosco bulk is the kind of audacity I expect from North Vancouver; it warms my heart to see the soul of deep Cove is still alive within this self-important over-priced underachiever of a business. Truly a waste of money.
Yummy I like the bubblegum ice cream

So disappointed in the manager (owner?)! We spent $35 plus tips on ice creams and milkshakes and he still came over rudely and told us that we shouldn't be sitting at his tables since we also had our own chips and snacks. There were no other patrons wanting the tables either as it was a slow day. Never coming back.
He said nothing to the caucasian couples sitting on his other tables who had ordered 0 from him. Guess people still discriminate based on the colour of skin which is disgusting! Totally ruined the atmosphere.
Pretty frustrating as this is a public park maintained by our tax money that he is allowed to operate within. Per our experience today, and that of many other reviewers the lack of adherence to any set hours is baffling too.
