Had a really bad experience! The coffee was so watery and bitter! Tasted like it was brewed hours ago. The lady at reception was so unwelcoming.

Needed a place that opened early to land for a bit before meeting. Had drip coffee asked if it was good and it wasn't it's more like bath water. I don't think the people making the coffee drink coffee so they shouldn't sell a coffee. People organizing the shop while it was organizing we're pretty abrupt and cold.

I’ve been always looking forward to picking up my daughter who lives near by, so I would have an excuse to come here for the best Americano’s I’ve ever had! There healthy choice muffins are next level too! What a gem of a place! I wish we had one in Coquitlam area. ?

Pretty decent cup of drip coffee - opens early. Husband got the dark roast and I got the medium. Appreciated that they had honey since I try not to eat sugar. Food options were premade sandwiches in plastic wrap - not the best. Decided not to order any food even though I was hungry.

My daughter and I went to West of Java coffee house with Grandma for an afternoon snack. I'm quite sure we've driven past this place thousands of times over the years but never really thought to go in until now. It was the " Gooey Cinnamon Rolls" sign that drew us in. Grandma was the one who saw the sign and thought it might be a nice place to try sometime.Newsflash: The "Gooey Cinnamon Rolls" at West of Java come from Grounds for Coffee! Didn't know this when I stepped into the shop. It was while we were sitting down, enjoying our food and drink that I looked out the window and noticed the Grounds for Coffee logo printed on the "Gooey Cinnamon Rolls" sign that's hanging outside the shop. It's small and easy to miss, but it's unmistakably the Grounds for Coffee logo. I was over the moon when I realized that I no longer have to drive all the way to Commercial Drive or Alma St. to get those Cinnamon Rolls. Now I can get them anytime we go to visit Grandma!Aside from my excitement about the Cinnamon Roll discovery, our drinks at West of Java were pretty nifty as well. We had Mocha, Chai Latte and a Matcha Latte.I was also elated to discover that they allow people to bring in their own reusable cups and that you can get a discount for doing so!Service: GoodParking: Free parking on the street (If you're lucky enough to nab a spot!)Location: 105 1st St. East, North Vancouver

Best ever coffee shop in the lower Lonsdale area! Coffee is great! Banana loaf is terrific. Love it! Environment is cozy. A real hidden jem! From the outside u cant tell easily the shop name. So be sure you catch it by its little green door.I was guided here by others ratings and reviews too. So hope this helps!
