I noticed they didn't have a ground chicken option and the butcher behind the counter said he could ground whatever chicken (boneless) I wanted. These guys are always warm and welcoming and to be honest I'm a bit surprised they don't have a higher rating. They deserve it.

Our go-to shop for seafood and meat. The chili maple candied salmon nuggets are to die for! Very friendly and helpful staff.

This is where we get flats of local eggs, grass-fed beef, and excellent European style meats.

Great place to but fresh and local seafood, meet, chicken, sausage, they always have a great variety and new stuff. They are also very attentive.

Good look, good foods and low price

I was followed by an employee and rudely accused of taking photos of products/store when I was just holding my phone with my bag on my forearm and texting a friend. Why I would take photos is beyond me but it left a bad taste in my mouth, and I think I’ll be taking my money elsewhere.

I love these guys! They’re very attentive and understand how important customer connection is. They have a great selection of most anything in the butcher shop you need. Special orders, holiday turkey, and a great assortment of accompaniments. They always have great recommendations on how to prepare meats and fish recipes for what they sell.

Mike and Luiz are always helpful with ideas and suggestions. They have great variety and their house made boerewors sausage is incredible!

awesome place to get grass fed beef and specialty meats. the clerks and butchers host great service! HOWEVER! i was disturbed by the way i assume the owner/manager speaks to his employees. i’m a former butcher so i understand how stressful and busy the christmas season is for a butcher shop. “wake up!” “when you stop daydreaming there’s customers on your left”. treat your employees with respect and have some professionalism in front of your customers. they’re out here working hard for you and the people of lynn valley. i hope you apologize to your staff and learn how to motivate and communicate with your team. disappointed in the management to say the least.

I REALLY want to support small business, but this place just makes it difficult to do so. I went to this place three times before deciding not to go again. First two times I bought despite not remotely good prices, third the staff member rudely assumed I just came from Save On, which I hadn't, nor was I planning to that day.
I had a bag full of items from Kins, which is hardly a direct competitor as it's a produce store. To spark this comment from the butcher I merely stated I was unsure I wanted to buy a particular item there to my partner (I think I was referring to eggs), it wasn't so loud the butcher should have been eves dropping in. I ended up leaving the roughly $40 of other items I was planning to buy and left. It's impossible not to shop at some of the larger chain grocery stores, and I'm sure even the butchers themselves find themselves at the large chain grocery stores for items that aren't meats. Like it or not, your customers cannot only shop at your store as there will always be things that you'll need to complete meals elsewhere. So no point in alienating your customers for the other stores they frequent.

Go to Lynn Valley Meats across the road. It’s a lot smaller with less selection, but the meat is far superior, and there’s no upsell like I’ve often experienced at Westlynn Meats & Seafoods.

I bought some meat this place the other day. The “best by” date was April 12th, but when we opened it on April 9th, it was rotten. This is actually the 2nd time because we bought fish from there about a year ago, fresh fish behind the window, and found it to be rotten that same day when taking it out of the fridge to eat it. I think that’s it for me.
