The first thing they bring you when you sit down is genmaicha tea (roasted rice tea) which was perfect for a cold day. All the sushi was very fresh and delicious. The tempura was also cooked well. Good prices. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Amazing little sushi shop that has the best sweet potato roll! I'm vegetarian and whenever I'm in the area, Yama is the first place I wanna eat. Everyone's very nice and has the feel of a mom and pop shop that I love.

Decent sushi, although the calamari was very rubbery, and not something I’d usually expect in assorted Sashimi. Also, there is very little space for dine-in, so go elsewhere if you have a larger group or want to sit down comfortably.

I unfortunately have had to change my 5 star to a 2 star. I use to love coming to this place for years and it was my regular spot. However, they’ve really cheaped out the last few visits I’ve had - not including soy sauce, wasabi or ginger. I’ve been catching them and asking for it now and they give you the smallest amount possible that doesn’t even cover all the rolls. Their prices have also increased and the rolls are now really filled with rice. I don’t know if their business isn’t doing well that they’re cutting down on expenses this way, but it’s definitely noticeable.
