Ykiki poke is not just my favorite Poke restaurant but one of my favorite restaurants in all of Vancouver. My wife and I walk 1.5km to order from there nearly every week. Our favorite dishes by far are the flaming poke and spicy tuna sushi rolls. I've had poke at several other places around Vancouver and none of them compare (even highly rated, award winning ones)!
The big draws:
- Generous portions (We split 1 poke bowl and sushi). - Exceptionally fresh ingredients. - Addictive spicy marinade for the tuna/salmon. - Not overly heavy on the mayo (keeps it lighter, which we prefer). - Crab is perfect, not overly moist. - Incredible value, especially for the Sushi. - Workers are friendly! Owner and Anna are both wonderful!

This place is honestly so good, way better than I expected. The seafood is really fresh and you can actually taste how clean and soft everything is, especially the salmon and tuna. The inside has a super cozy and cute vibe. It is a small place, and it feels warm and relaxing. Not too loud, not too busy, just a nice spot to chill and eat. The staff are really friendly and helpful, and they do not rush you even if you take forever to decide what you want. There are so many toppings and sauces to choose from, which makes it fun to build your own bowl. You can mix it up every time you go. The portions are pretty big for what you pay so it feels totally worth it. The egg was honestly one of the best parts. It was soft, creamy, and full of flavor, kind of like those Korean mayak eggs. It soaked up all the sauce and added the perfect touch to the whole thing. I would definitely come back again. This place is a new favorite for sure!!

I ordered the pops poke bowl since I love when they torch the fish, unfortunately it made the fish too cooked and I couldn’t really taste the torched part… maybe I should have ordered the Jess bowl instead! I was happy to see a fresh avocado but the pineapple seemed to be from a can.
The portion was large and the others in my party enjoyed their bowls (spicy chicken and bulgogi)! The atmosphere is cute and service was good. It’s on the higher end of $20 per bowl so not a cheap eat but not expensive.

The poke is always delicious, the drinks are refreshing, and the staff is always so nice! My favourite is the classic poke with spicy salmon/tuna. Don’t sleep on this place!
