It’s like a mini Wonka factory! If you’re looking for candies of all types, this is the stop. Tons of different sours, sweets, hard and soft candies, and even some bizarre items can be found. There’s also a small section for what I would describe as gourmet chocolate (think like Purdys/Rogers chocolates). They even have some old school stuff from the 90’s! Aside from candies, they have a decent ice cream selection and Slush Puppies too. It’s a full service treat shop and the place is super clean and organized.
Prices for some items are on the slightly higher side given the quantity you get in a mixed candy bag (for example versus a bulk candy shop) BUT it’s the only place in town that I am aware of that sells this kind of variety. Sure the 7-Eleven up the road has candy too but not like this. Most of the candy type shops in Osoyoos have slowly closed over the past 25 years, especially the shops that were located at the various campgrounds and RV parks. So while the prices here made me thinks bit, it didn’t turn me away. At least this store is still around filling the need!
Their selection provides a unique value proposition and I found myself looking at every single item after doing a once over in the store. Overall it satisfied my sweet tooth and made the kids happy as can be. We’ll be back every time we’re in town. Keep bringing in the good stuff (those Jolly Rancher sours are so good)!
Parking: Not a lot of parking directly in front of the store but you can also park across the street at the Nesters/BC Liquor.
Kid-friendliness: It’s a candy shop! A+ for the kids!

I recently visited this CANDY STORE, hoping to indulge my sweet tooth and perhaps discover some unique treats. However, my experience was far from sweet.
First, let's talk about the prices. I understand that specialty candy stores often have a premium, but the prices here were exorbitant. I felt like I was paying for a luxury experience, but unfortunately, the service was anything but luxurious.
As soon as I entered the store, I noticed the sole staff member engrossed in a sports game on TV. I was the only one in the store and I spent a good 5 minutes browsing through the aisles, examining the selection, and hoping for at least a nod of acknowledgment or a "Hello, how can I help you?" Yet, the employee didn't even glance in my direction. It was as if I was invisible.
The lack of customer service was disappointing, to say the least. In a small, local store, you expect a warm, welcoming atmosphere and personal attention. Instead, I felt like I was intruding on someone's private time rather than visiting a business. The stark contrast between the high prices and the poor service made the experience all the more frustrating.
In conclusion, the CANDY STORE might have a decent selection of sweets, but the outrageous prices and the indifferent, inattentive staff make it a place I won't be returning to anytime soon. Customer service is key, and sadly, CANDY STORE missed the mark entirely. What a shame.

Been going there every summer for years. This store is a child’s dream. Wall to wall candies, ice cream, slush, and homemade artisan chocolate for the adults. Super friendly owners.
