A little known hide away restaurant with spectacular views of the lake. My favourite place to sip a cocktail or a local glass of wine with some delicious tapas. Chef Darien and team goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable and welcomed! The mains are great too and a perfect addition now to Osoyoos’s world class food & beverage experiences.
Restaurant is located within Walnut beach resort. There are two types of options : whether restaurant itself or pool side menu.
We choose restaurant, where menu is good for our family but there wasn’t different varieties. We were the only customers at that time as others were at pool and beach.Food was great and they have one of the best pina colada with or without rum. Service was great but she is the only person in place. Prices a little high but it’s okay as inside the resort. It’s good to try at especially if you stayed two nights at the resort with us.
Dietary restrictions: Limited options but enough
Parking: Within hotel parking
Kid-friendliness: It’s as they have kids menu
Wheelchair accessibility: It’s

We joined some friends who were having breakfast and thought we could have a coffee. We got 2 lukewarm coffees. When we asked for more milk we were billed an extra $5 for it and $8 for a fruit cup which turned out to be a ramekin of one tired strawberry, one tired cantaloupe and a few blueberries. For me, a fruit cup, is a cup of fruit not a ramekin. In any case we paid over $30 for a few coffees and an awful thimble full of fruit. Taking inflation into account I still find this a ripoff and the one server had the audacity to tell me that they were Starbucks of Osoyoos. I don't recommend this place and advise others to keep clear

Hate to say it, but the low ratings are about right here. This place is definitely not up to the standard the rest of the resort sets. Pretty abysmal, even for a hotel restaurant. You’d be better served driving into town for breakfast 100% of the time.
My partner had to reorder her coffee three times… first latte was watery and looked more like tea with milk than coffee (ew), second brewed coffee was served lukewarm and tasted old. They eventually sorted it out and the third latte was actually pretty good!
I ordered the meat lovers’ omelette, which came out both overcooked and undercooked at the same time; the cheese wasn’t melted but the egg was rock hard. Edible, sure, but not particularly enjoyable. My partner’s benny was also mediocre but the best of the bunch. As for the sides, potatoes were OK with both dishes but charging $8 for that fruit cup is a sin.
I’ll give some credit to our server—she was young but kind and trying her best—and the rest of the staff. They took my partner’s severe allergies seriously (a member of the kitchen came out to chat with us) and we had no issues.
In summary, eating here certainly won’t satisfy you but it also won’t kill you.

We stayed at the resort for 2 nights and during the entire duration of our stay, there was only 1 server worker. Service on the pool patio and restaurants was extremely slow. We didn't even get checked on for refill etc and we ended up getting up, going to the bar and asking for our bill. Other guests on the pool patio had to go to the bar themselves to order drinks as the server wouldnt return for lenthy periods of time. Server working seemed overwhelmed and wasn't very friendly. Food was mediocre. Resort itself was beautiful. I just wouldn't eat at the restaurant.

The restaurant is nice and the service was amazing, unfortunately the food was very poor. My wife and I went to celebrate a birthday and both Ribeye steaks were not cooked properly. Mine had a sour taste so I asked if the could correct this. The second steak the sent out about 15 min later was completely raw. Unfortunately for me the birthday dinner went without food. My wife ate hers but it was not correctly cooked and was served with the wrong sauce poured on it. Sauce should be served on the side with a good steak.

Lovely place to eat after a relaxing day at the pool and private beach
Enjoyed the Tunisian menu tonight. Excellent food, great presentation and portions. The service and atmosphere were great! I definitely recommend this great treasure in Osoyoos.

My aunt and I went for the Jamaican themed dinner and Chef Lasmar and his team did an excellent job. Our server Gabrielle was fantastic and went above and beyond. We will definitely come back.

Lovely setting on patio overlooking lake. Service was good and attentive. Ultimately it's just a very average restaurant, food-wise. Menus on cheap copier paper affixed to a school clipboard. Food is pretty basic pub-style. Not bad, just not really up to the standard of the hotel. Sort of food where the mashed potatoes are served with an ice-cream scoop. Very pleasant, no complaints, but don't expect gourmet food.
Very good experience. Staff was professional and friendly. Food was delicious. Love the ribs!

This place has very limited hours in the off-season. You eat overlooking the pool & the lake, which is lovely. The staff were pretty nice.As for food, we had the steak & salmon. The meat was nicely cooked, but other than that, it was pretty “meh” for the price — in flavor & portion. The bruschetta was delicious, my favorite part of the meal (in hindsight, the only reason we got enough to eat was because of this). The horseradish on the salmon was very strong, pretty overpowering until you got used to it. No subtlety at all. I would have much preferred a lemon/dill sauce. Not much of a crust, either. The bed of vegetables for both dishes was rather bland (we had to season it ourselves), and neither came with a sauce or anything to dress it up. Just plain steamed veggies, which is disappointing for the high-end of the menu. Overall I don’t get the sense that these menu items are very carefully thought out — it’s just a decent steak & salmon with not much thought given to the flavor profile (and minimal substance to the dish). This restaurant is fine if you don’t feel like leaving the resort, but there are definitely better places in town.
We had the mussels to start and then the salmon for the main course, delicious! We sat outside with a perfect temperature and a sunset to watch. Our waitress was great, the hostess that seated us, seemed to be put off that we arrived 15 min early for our reservation (yet the restaurant was mostly empty)
Really nothing much to write home about. My horseradish crusted salmon didn’t really have a “crust” so much as a soft layer of some sort of horseradish on top, and no breadcrumbs as the menu mentioned there would be. A good selection of wines and drinks which would have been nice to enjoy by the pool or lake, but unfortunately when we were staying at the resort the restaurant wasn’t open daily due to staffing issues. We did get to one happy hour which was quite nice, and our server Marcus was lovely. If you’re staying at Walnut Beach this is really your only option besides delivery or going into town for something else
