I drove from Courtenay to Parksville just for boba tea because I had an amazing one last time. The previous time, a guy made it perfectly, but today, a girl made a watery milk tea that was disappointing. I asked her to blend it and add extra whipping cream, even offering to pay, but she didn’t bother and made it even worse 👎 Reply: Hello Ma’am, Thanks for your valuable response. I’ve been drinking boba my whole life. Maybe it would be more helpful to focus on better staff training to prevent these kinds of issues in the future.

I really want to like this place. I can tell it was designed by an artist and the people were really nice, but this is ultimately a review of the product itself... Which was unfortunately... Gross. Sorry.
It's hard to mess up mango, but they managed to do it. Ditto on the jasmine. Instead of ingredients an oddly flavored syrup was squirted into the milk for both flavors.
I think the space really has potential, and a good location, but the ingredients need to be updated or they need to pivot to a new product. (Perhaps slushies or gelato?)

The Boba is all right, but it You won’t get many customers when it says you’re open and you are actually closed. On multiple occasions, I look Online to see if it’s open, It says it is, You get there and they are closed. Very annoying.

If you have a dairy allergy, please be aware that although the menu says that they use a non-dairy base for their drinks, it is NOT dairy free. I double checked the ingredients of the base and it has whey powder, which is a Milk product. You really need to either change the base you use or update your menu to avoid harming someone with a serious allergy. If the base is just lactose free, you need to say that. There is a big difference between lactose free and dairy free for people with allergies.
I'm glad a double checked when I saw the colour of the drink, as I'm used to a juice-based bubble tea. The person serving me made a replacement using oat milk. The mango popping bubbles were delicious and my kids liked their drinks well enough. The service was fine and it's a cute setup, but please be more careful with labeling allergens! Someone with allergies is going to (or likely already has) get very sick if they believe it's dairy free and it's not.
