.each time I go ..I tell myself that it was the last time..as the service is indeed terrible .... But what can I say?..sometimes I do come back ..as it is the only place that is opened around here on some winter days...

Don't come here if your hungry, you won't get service. Workers prefer to sit and eat, and not serve or make money for the business.

The main attraction a zillion years ago were the goats … and the ice cream. So regardless of the fact that most ice cream on offer is just island farms brand (though there is a delicious array of Coombs made ice creams and sorbets!) there is something special about establishing a tradition that involves ice cream and wandering around in the sun ?

Single line to prepay upfront based on the number of scoops and multiple folks to serve the ice cream so it was very efficient. I wanted a berry flavour and choose strawberry in a waffle cone. Excellent!

Went in through the back parking lot. Where the tour buses park, behind the Ice Cream Shop, is garbage everywhere. Dirty ice cream buckets, and garbage blowing everywhere. Couldn't eat there after that!

Had a mocha, 3/5 for taste profile.

I'm a very fair guy, standards are actually low. But unfortunately this place wasn't good for eating. I understand why, after talking to the owner, but still it doesn't excuse the quality of service and food. The pogo was precooked but never cooked. The hotdog in the middle was white and the whole thing was cold. The kids burger were rock hard, probably there for a long while. My salmon burger was fine. Fries were cold. The while place was a mess and needed to be cleaned badly. The person told me that they were really short on staff, that's why there was poor service and food. While I was there they had to refund 3 people. Long long lines. I personally think they should of closed down til they had the proper staff. Families could of gotten food poisoning. With some work they could be a really good place.

Great Person

We had high expectations with this place as the adjoining store has such good product and bakery. I got the turkey pannini with cranberry sauce. It was gross, and was made with dry brown turkey meat, I couldn't eat it and no server came around to see how things were going so I could tell them I didn't like it. Or ask for more mayo to make it less dry. But with that said, their tortilla soup was good, their fries were super good and my husband enjoyed his burger. The service was not good, our server never came around after dropping off the food and we sat and waited too long for someone to come around and clear our plates and bring the bill. When the server did finally come around she smelled of cigarette smoke, I guess that is where she was. I also didn't like how the tip percentage options started at 18%, 20 and 22. I am aware we can plug in our own amount, it was my first time seeing such high suggestions, it was off putting. We will not be back for the cafe but for the store items only.

This establishment currently does not allow for safe social distancing. We went mid week in July, so summer weekends are likely to be worse. Many people in line were not distancing or wearing masks and no employees are monitoring the chaos. Some picnic tables outside are less than 2 feet from each other and all tables were full. They need to block off some tables as not usable to enforce social distancing. They also need to reorganize the line system inside to ensure that people know whether they are lining up for icecream or hot food. The lack of clarity in the line system further worsens the lack of social distancing. If you are choosing to keep yourself, your bubble and your community safe, then you should consider skipping the Coombs shops this summer. If you do go, definitely skip this establishment.
