Amazing coffee and lovely staff

The woman at the counter taking our order was incredibly sweet, kind, and helpful - a real gem. Unfortunately, the experience was soured by what happened next.

We ordered two coffees, one of which was supposed to be decaf, but we forgot to specify. When we realized and asked for the decaf instead, the person making drinks in the back insisted we had to pay for the replacement. We didn’t want three coffees, just the two, and it was made very clear to us that it was “our mistake.”

Technically, yes, we forgot to ask for decaf. But coffee costs them pennies, and in hospitality, gestures matter. Covering a simple swap would have shown goodwill and left us with a great impression. Instead, we left feeling nickel-and-dimed.

It’s a shame, because the person at the counter was wonderful, but the attitude from the back completely undercut the experience.

I mistakenly left my wallet here while visiting during a family event, and the owner not only kept it safe for me, but she returned a voicemail during her holiday to alleviate my concern, and went out of her way to return it to me by mail.

The chai tea latte was delicious, and I can't think of better customer service and courtesy than the experience I had.

Just a heads up, they do not serve drip coffee.
I ordered two americanos. The small has 2 shots of espresso and the large has three. Went with the large. The Americano was good but not the best. I found it to be a little acidic in flavor.

Excellent Roastery indeed, a lot of selections for coffee beans available here. The description on the coffee bags are simple and accurate. And I got the coffee that I always wanted. I understand this is not a coffee shop which explains that there's only one table and very small entrance.

I'll be visiting my sister who lives in Nanoose Bay next month, June 15-26. I'll be stopping in for my beans to return home, Cornwall Ontario, with. Read up on new roasts before my visit to buy along with many of my favorites. See You Soon :)

Jan 2021. Had new coffee sent to me prior to Christmas by my sister. One of the pkgs was the new Ethiopian Tomme. This new blend was so good yesterday I ordered 3 more pkgs. Maui Dark Roast is another excellent blend. When pandemic is over I am sure to be flying out to Nanoose Bay to visit my sister and stock up on more coffee. Thank goodness I can order online.

Every time I am on Vancouver Island visiting with my sister (I live in Ontario) I stop and load up on Coyote Coffee beans. Recently picked up; Mexican Red Honey Fair Trade Organic Coffee. WOW WOW WOW and excellent full bodied coffee. No bitter after taste. Chocolate notes. Will it become part of your product line? Do you still have some for sale? It made my day :)

They have the best coffees! We love their Mexican dark roast and Bali Blue Moon.

I went in knowing very little about this coffee company. The server asked me what I wanted. I wasn't sure except for not enjoying my current coffee beans. She asked me a few questions then suggested the Sulawesi (sp?) beans. I tried them for the first time today. What a difference a good, well roasted bean can make. I am thoroughly enjoying my first cup of delicious coffee! Thank you Coyote Coffee Roastery!

Coyote Coffee roasts the best coffee on the island. So smooth, flavourful, and consistent. Friendly staff, quick service. Lots of amazing gift ideas too.

I haven't been to the actual location yet but I've ordered coffee beans from their online store a few times, and every single bag I've received has been delicious! (and the samples are always such a nice surprise!) <3
